1. Isn't the message clear?
Israeli 2   (07.22.11)
Don't do us any favors. Your reporting is slanted and biased anyway.
2. Oh no !!
Mike ,   TA   (07.22.11)
No more biased Israel-bashing reports from AP and Reuters...I won't be able to go on living.
3. What's the problem ?
Jules   (07.22.11)
They can send their questions (and receive answers) in writing, as long as they SERIOUSLY want to obtain answers, not just to embarrass the Prime Minister with provocative questions.
4. Response to terrorism
John ,   Alaska   (07.22.11)
Given the suicide bombings to which Israel has been subjected, as well as the "underwear bomber" caught on a flight to an American city last year, these are prudent actions which keep the Prime Minister's office safe from terrorism. If these actions are unsettling to press personnel, they should take up the issue with those who support suicide bombers or who trained and equipped the "underwear bomber".
5. These journalists are ridiculous
Frank ,   Canada   (07.22.11)
Journalists does not deserve any privileges and must be treated like any other citizens. Nobody is above the law including biased propagandists posturing as journalists.
6. good riddance to useless rubbish
Beryl   (07.22.11)
don't let the door hit you on the way out!
7. Israel never misses an opportunity to shoot itself in the...
Moshe Cryan   (07.22.11)
foot. You would think that the PMO would have more common sense, but I guess not. Israel is always whining about being demonized by the press, so what better way to change that than to insulting reporters.
8. Oh, the humanity!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.22.11)
The foreign press in Israel, with very few exceptions, takes every imaginable opportunity to demonize and villify Israel in the press. I really don't care how "humiliated" they feel. Since their slant is so anti-Israel, viciously so, they should just decamp to Gaza and Ramallah, and report the news from there.
9. Reporters
michael Pielet ,   boca raton, Israel   (07.22.11)
They should be happy. They get to keep their panties on.
10. BS, they will stop covering him, they need the news.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.22.11)
11. Go to Syria !!
Yossef   (07.22.11)
12. Watch the talkbacks.
Dovid ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.22.11)
All the mad, brainwashed, addled right wingers will speak of how this is all those "haters of Israel" deserve, and they could be carrying weapons, and they are only looking for excuses to give Israel bad coverage, blah, blah, blah. Truly ill people all.
13. cover mass murderer khaddafi and assad. u love them more
Judah ,   ISRAEL   (07.22.11)
jewish state
14. Prime Ministers Office
Sebastian ,   Israel   (07.22.11)
To all those rabid , frothing at the mouth talk backers that think they know everything. There are many Israeli members of the Foreign Press as well. Just thought I might point out that little indiscretion.
15. I am fed up with forign press!
Zoe ,   Los Angeles, USA   (07.22.11)
16. They are treated so much better
Zoe ,   Los Angeles   (07.22.11)
in Arab countries, just ask Lara Logan, and all the journalists kidnapped in Gaza.
17. @7,@12- These reporters have been anti-Israel
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (07.22.11)
It's been going on for many years. They like to be tough on Israel. You don't have to be right wing" fanatics to see their anti-Israel reporting. Just study the news, and read carefully -- keep up with the times.
18. Foreign Press "not covering Press Office
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.22.11)
" That could only be good. Ban the lot except Fox and the Wall Street Journal
19. Overcareful security screening
Israeli grandma   (07.22.11)
But we do know that a journalist is not a saintly pacifist, but who knows what agenda or potentially dangerous items they may be bringing in to a meeting? You cant even bring an overpriced bottle of drinking water through security check in UK airports. I notice that there is never comment about the harassment, arrest and so forth of journalists working among our Arab neighbours, and a careful avoidance of the fact that journalists in the PA and Gaza are just not allowed to report anything not previously approved by the rulers there.
20. #12 self-evident certifiably neurotic rant
Observer ,   Israel   (07.22.11)
21. To #12
John ,   Alaska   (07.22.11)
How would you propose to keep the PM's office safe from the threat of a terrorist pretending to be a journalist (or actually being one) with an explosive belt or something similar under their clothes? Or are you naive enough to think Islamic terrorists are no longer using suicide bombers (like the one last week in Afghanistan)?
22. "This is most certainly not our policy"
(07.22.11)
yeah, right
23. Foreign press is threatening?
tiki ,   belgium   (07.22.11)
That's the problem, the're only threatening!
24. # 7 & 12 and other pitiful selfloathing....
Semper Fi! ,   San Diego, USA   (07.22.11)
imbeciles. I've never understood why some selfhating Jews and now even Israelis take the barbarians anntisemite side. Why to shoot yourself in your own foot. Go figure, why those morons try to defend trashy indeividuals that despise them. It's a mystery. Only Jews do it, oh I forgot some Americans too, but that's another story...
25. Hey, Foreign Press: BYE!!!
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.22.11)
26. " they may stop covering the PMO altogether"
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (07.22.11)
Who needs who. You can, instead, buy your news about Israel from one of the expensive news outlets. They may more interested in complying to PMO demands. Hopefully they will be more motivated to report real news, instead of just preaching to your crowd of vultures.
27. To 21-
Dovid ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.22.11)
I did not mean to imply that security precautions (one that protect the privacy of individuals and accord them the dignity that ALL individuals merit) are not required. They most assuredly are. My post spoke to the ugly, hateful, ignorant, ill-informed comments about the foreign press reporters, many of whom are Israeli, (although they MUST be self-hating Jews to work for the foreign press, right?) that were in fact posted from the rabid, frothing right wingers. Thanks. All the best.
28. World Press
Daniel Freedman ,   Israel, Jerusalem   (07.22.11)
I think it is a clear sign BiBi is doing something right. any self respecting Jew/Israeli knows the world press is NOT our friend
29. Go to Syria
erik ,   Italy   (07.22.11)
They could go to Syria, where there is a strong need of journalists ! The media coverage of the Syrian revolt is ZERO ! Only low quality videos made by the protesters. Go go , go to Syria, you will receive a very good treatment. Assad will cordially welcome you...and will let you work without any restriction. Go !
30. Primadonnas
Cynthia ,   USA   (07.22.11)
Netanyahu has a country to run and reporters should have more respect for his time. Expect tight security and leave the embarrassing personal items home. Further, stop maligning Israel and you might receive better treatment. But remember, it's no skin off Israel's nose if you all stay home. People who want the news are better off going directly to Israeli media sources.
