1. Turkey was antisemitic before
Susya Bar Dror ,   IL   (07.24.11)
The state owned tv distributed and broadcasted antisemitic films some years ago. Since Erdogan Turkey is antisemtic and constantly against Israel. In fact, Turkey must apologize first.
2. Turkey must apologize to the Armenian people
Susya Bar Dror ,   IL   (07.24.11)
because Turkey murdered 1.5 Million Armenians, men, women and children. Turkey does not apologize because they deny it ever happened!

5. TURKEY DOESN"T LIKE THE TRUTH
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.24.11)
I don't even see where you claim "excessive force", and make it stick. The IDF boarded the ship with paintball guns for G-d's sake, how is that "excessive force"? Then the IDF was in fact taken by surprise at how well the premeditated attack was executed. Now maybe you can find some fault with the IDF, for not being prepared for that. But I don't. They had stopped many other ships before, and never really had an issue. Maybe you can say they let their guard down because it had become so routine. Then terrorists orchestrate a well planned premeditated attack and try to kill the IDF soldiers, throwing them over decks, stabbing them, using stun grenades, and clubbing them with steel poles. They simply fought back the best way they could, given the circumstances. Nobody reading this would have done it any different. If your surrounded by 7-10 guys clubbing you with steel poles, I promise you, if you have a gun, you would shoot them to save your life. But I guess they had to put something in there to satisfy Turkey? But as it turns out the report clearly puts much more of the blame on Turkey. Making an apology from Israel, appear laughable and silly, which it is of course. Now Turkey looks like fools, the spoiled brat asking the other kid to say, give, when it's the other kid (Israel) that has Turkey in a headlock.
6. LIEBERMAN IS RIGHT !
Mark ,   t.a. Israel   (07.24.11)
IF WE APOLOGISE WE ACCEPT THAT WE ARE GUILTY AND ERDOGAN WILLTAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS APOLOGY ! LET, S WAIT THE PALMER VERDICT AND THEN WE DECIDE WHAT TO DO !! IN THE MEANTIME ERDOGAN ALSO WILL BE ANXIOUS OF THIS VERDICT !!
7. Danie Ayalon must be dismissed.
Stan ,   Israel   (07.24.11)
A few months before the flotilla incident the whole of Israel saw on TV how deputy foreign minister Danie Ayalon humiliated the Turkish Ambassador by seating him on a chair much lower than his own. I am sure many Israelis found this amusing, but I am sure that there were others like myself who consider that it is in very bad taste to humiliate the ambassador of a friendly nation. I am sure that if Ayalon is removed it will go a long way to bringing about the return of good relations between Turkey and Israel
8. we love you Avigdor, don't stop
izzie irgun ,   usa   (07.24.11)
Finally a smne israeli .. some get a muzzle for peres. To hell with the turks, its all a game fr them to find a way to say they beat isreal and are bigger, badder and tougher. This isall about erdogen and nothing to do with law suits against soldiers. The mitchell report willstop any lawsuit b stating that israels actions were legal. I used to love bibi until he became a wimp who kisses every ass he can find althugh i will say except for obamas. Tell erdogen he's right, we do othing until he apologizes.
9. Bravo Liberman !

Stay strong and don't don't apologize - just keep believing in Yourself ; ))) if Avigdor Lieberman became Prime Minister some day, I'd be happy.
10. Turkey
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (07.24.11)
Why does Israel need a banana country, puppet of the Ayatolahs with a big ego as a friend? Later Tuirkey will be expell of the NATO and will cut ties with USA as required by the master in teheran

what Avalon did with the seating of the Turkish ambassador was a disgrace to Israel, childish and moronic. He is totally unsuited to the role of a diplomat and only brings shame on Israel.
13. NEVER APOLOGIZE
American ,   Los Angeles   (07.24.11)
to islamic jihadists who attack Israel and support hamas and the annihilation of Israel.Time to recognize the Armenian Genocide and the right of the kurds in Turkey.

15. To Mark from Georgia
CC   (07.24.11)
It's so totally simple, Mark. The reason why the term "excessive force" was in the whole text is that it - sadly - HAD to be "balanced", otherwise there was no chance in hell that in 1 million times the parties came to any conclusion. Therefore, for Israel to gain the blockade supposedly legal this is the price to be paid. Clearly, Israel couldn't have been right only. It's a diplomatic tightrope. Clearly it's an awful and distasteful compromise but I wonder if there was a btter option striving for balance. In the end the parties were so baalnced on the commission that they were forced to accept a mutually (more or less) acceptable report I beleive. This is the background.
16. Thank Goodness for Lieberman
Rachel ,   US   (07.24.11)
If it weren't for him, we would had a 2nd freeze and Bibi would run and apologize to the Turks. He keeps Bibi on his toes which is a good thing because his spinelessness is well known.
17. I SAY NO NO NO
AVIGDOR WINEHOUSE ,   ZEFAT ISRAEL   (07.24.11)
18. Lieberman is a liability and we should apologize for that
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (07.24.11)
How many friends do we lose before we realise we are alone? How many times do we abuse those who called us friend before they tell us we've gone too far? When do we learn that we've gone too far? When do those who we foolishly elected and trusted become accountable to us? We were once a proud democracy now we are neither/ We once had an army of the people, now we don't. When we the former supporters of democratic principles, and those tired of being shamed by politicians we elected, stand up for our nation, for the state that is being eroded by these dark forces of reactionary conservatism and religious fundamentalism, and take it back?
19. #15;CC, YOU NAILED IT
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.24.11)
Exactly correct which is why I included this: "But I guess they had to put something in there to satisfy Turkey?" In my post. The games they have to play at the UN. You description is dead on.
20. Well said Lieberman.
Spencer ,   Israel   (07.24.11)
No apology whatsoever, nor any statement that could in any way be construed as an apology to Turkey should be made. Is the world blind? Can't they see from the video recording of the boarding that it was the terrorists on board the ship that started the violence. The soldiers exercised more restraint than they needed to. It's a wonder that more of the anti Israel "passengers" were not killed. Under no circumstances should Israel apologise or pay any compensation to the families of those killed in self defence.
