1. Boker Tov Islam - the alarm clock has finally gone off!
Talula ,   Israel   (08.08.11)
Pity thousands have died before any one noticed.
2. Obama's ambassador is still in Syria.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.08.11)
Yes, folks, Obama, the stooge for the Muslim Brotherhood, hasn't re-called his ambassador from Damascus. When even the Saudis pull out their ambassador, what the hell is Obama doing? Blah, blah, blah - that's what he's doing. How many people does Assad have to kill before Obama gets the message? Obama's a real champion of human rights, actually, he's the champion hypocrite, figuring out his incoherent foreign policy makes your head spin. Calling him a bungler is an understatement, you couldn't be this stupid on purpose.
3. Let's not be naive here.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.08.11)
The Saudis don't care how many Syrians Assad kills, they'd do the same thing. This is a Saudi anti-Iran move, they want a Sunni gov't. in Syria. When the Alawite Assad regime falls & Sunnis take revenge on Alawites, the Saudis won't say a word.
4. You mean Saudi's are behind this
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (08.08.11)
uprising?
5. Some talk circulating....hearsay or truth?
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (08.08.11)
Apparently there are now some sources in Lebanon who say there is a recording of a conversation circulating of one of Nasrallahs visits to Ahmadinejad/Khamenei in Teheran In it he evidently proudly and emotionally commits his life and loyalty and the loyalty of Hezbollah ... EXCLUSIVELY to his mentors and supporters in Iran ABOVE ALL ELSE. Whats explosive about it is that he completely ignores the Sovereign State of Lebanon as if Lebanon is nothing...the very person who tries to pursuade Lebanese that he above all else is their saviour and protector! One word comes to mind to describe Nasrallah T R A I T O R
6. Strangely silent ....
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.08.11)
Funny, we don't hear anything from all those who advocated ceding the Golan to Syria in exchange for nothing. I guess they're sitting in tents in Tel Aviv smoking nargilas & singing about ''peace'' & waxing nostalgic for the good old days when we were a poverty-stricken socialist failure.
7. Whoopsy Daisy...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.08.11)
We can be rest assured now that the Saudis will take care of the problem...lol problem. With the 100s of billions worth of arms, the Saudis went into Yemen assured of routing out the rag tag army of Shia Hoothys, only to be defeated badly with the Shia Hoothys, who not only repelled the Saudi military, but ended up occupying Saudi territory... Its not about the the size of the dog in a fight, its about the size of the fight in the dog... In the Saudi case, its non existent...
8. Hands up those in favour of returning Golan to Syria!
Alan ,   SA   (08.08.11)
9. Assad is FINISHED...he knows it, we know
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.08.11)
it and even the Saudis know it...What has just happened to the GREAT REFORMER and the great RESISTOR = great TERRORIST and the darling of Hussein Obama ? Israels northern border will become ever less a threat to its security as Hizbullah will also become weaker by the the day. NO need, to give in to any of the demands of the Arabs...!!!
10. Are they supporting the

Muslem Brotherhood-? something is smelly here
11. how compassionate the whabis are
zionist forever   (08.08.11)
Gaddafi killed 1000 and then the Saudi's said drop bombs on Libya and Obama said lets drop bombs on Libya. Assad has killed 2000 people and he has been killing people for longer than Gaddafi had been before the bombing started and the compassionate Saudi's have decided to withdraw their ambassador and Jordan is encouraging dialogue between Assad and the protestors. Its one thing to go after Gaddafi but when your talking about an arab state thats another matter.

Terry Once Assad is gone just watch the left in Israel demanding we give the Golan to the new Syrian government no matter who it is as a goodwill gesture to show the Syrians Israel wants peace. If Labor win the next election which sadly they almost certainly will its going to be back to the old days of oslo where the name of the game was give alot but don't ask for much. They will bankrupt the country, give away territory and slash the military budget.
13. but not obama, ford stays
izzie irgun ,   usa   (08.08.11)
this says it all, right wing fanatical muslim governments abandon syria but not obama .. the appeaser in chief can't even show any courage in the face of a tyrant killing his own people ... but beat up on mubarak, israel no problem ... its disgusting and its a pathetic reflection on why the us has no credibility in foreign affairs any more
14. BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.08.11)
Interesting statement the King stated: ""nothing to do with religion, or values, or ethics," the king said." While you can certainly argue it has nothing to do with religion. How can you say it has "nothing to do with values or ethics"? Then the article states: "follows similar statements....by the Arab League"? Really? What did they say yesterday? Well the Arab League stated they have "growing concern" and "distress". Hmmm, impressive. They have "growing concern"???? Don't you think if you.have killed about 1,700 people, arrested 60,000, and one report stated, since the protests have started that ("one person per hour") has disappeared off the face of the earth. That's about another 3000?? But they still are NOT "concerned" but they do have "Growing concern" and of course let's not forget "distress" too.

We can only hope that the Alawites get their payment back in triplicate.
16. And the point?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.08.11)
Why don't the Arabs do something theirselves, instead of waiting for the West to pull their chestnuts out of the fire? I think if there are Arab issues, the Arabs ought to handle them. Haven't enough Westerners died on behalf of Arab interests? Let them do it their damned selves. For once.
17. Golf monarchs have no shame!
Moise   (08.08.11)
They condamn Assad repression of his people but they treat their people worst than any othjer regime in the world. I mean how can give lessons to other when they don't even allow their women to drive a car? Dont mention how they treat foreign workers. Abdullah should start by cleaning his house
18. #9
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (08.09.11)
What do you mean? Now, the Iranians will be in charge and then it will get even worst. We have to face Iran one way or another. We must be prepared in the north more than ever. We gave Gaza back. Do we feel safe now? Nope! We must keep Golan and not step back an inch. We need more enforcement there now.
19. spencer010639@yahoo.com
Spencer ,   Israel   (08.09.11)
.......and Barak HUSSEIN Obama send his ambassaor back to Syria. Again the US President has shown his true colours. This Islamic sypathetic US President is BAD for America and the civilised world. Hopefully the American public raelises this and will vote him out at trhe earliest possibilty.
20. Where's the Hague? Indict Assad Now!
Dave ,   cal-usa   (08.09.11)
When the Saudis say they've seen enough blood you know you're finished. The Syrian psycho is using snipers and armor against unarmed civilians-clear violation of international law-indict him World Criminal Court-or UN security council-or forever shut-up. One problem, his "democracy seeking" victims were just endorsed by al-qaeda-a new regime could be even worse. If you, Israel, aren't already, you should maintain full alert towards Syria because before they take him down he would start a war with you just to buy more time and who will ultimately gain control over the nasty weapons this madman has stockpiled? Where's his turn-coat wifey who sold Assad to the world as a cultured "moderate" like Goebells then disappeared on a shopping spree when the slaughter begun? Indict her too.
