1. Meridor and Barak
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.08.11)
This is what is wrong with Israel. Appeasers who radiate weakness and fear. By their stupidity they feed the enemies and friends of Israel with the fuel to continue to demand more and more. Stop the insanity of appeasement . It does not work.
2. Meridor and Barak
Rachel ,   US   (08.08.11)
Marcel you took the words right out of my mouth. These two are nothing but worthless appeasers. Yaalon for PM!!!!
3. Netanyahu for once
Rachel ,   US   (08.08.11)
think beyond the moment. And see how an apology would really damage Israel world wide. What about your defenders? Were they wrong to defend the IDF against these Turkish terrorist? Next time when you're in trouble they'll just keep quiet and let hang. It's a shame you're even having this discussion.
4. Apology
Abu Yussef al Yahudi ,   Bue_Aires_Argentina   (08.09.11)
Israel, wake up ! The appeasement doesn't work with the Islamic Peoples. Neither apologies nor "Compensatory Payments" to this treacherous scum Erdogan. . This wrong act from Israel will be used by the Turks only for propaganda among the Islamic World, and Israel won't receive any benefit for that, but humiliation.
5. netanyahu n his crew
sas ,   israek   (08.09.11)
do not trust anyone that is around the PM. He and they are only concerned with one thing - their future - including salary, pension, seat in knesset., car, telephone bills. etc........reltious or non-religious thier values are the same. DISGUSTING
6. Minister for Strategic Affairs?
Li ,   USA   (08.09.11)
Anyone who doesn't see an extremely sharp escalation coming soon should be kept out of the policy room.
7. and New Zealand must apologise too
(08.09.11)
for Palmer's impertinence.
8. If they are not agreed on the potential threat
John ,   Alaska   (08.09.11)
The wise course of action would be to prepare for the worst. It never hurts to be prepared. Why haven't these people thought of this yet?
9. Here is an idea. Israel must be prepared
leo ,   usa   (08.09.11)
as Lieberman suggests and should hope for the best as Yaalon suggests. That should do it.
10. Moshe Yaalon is such a joke.
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.09.11)
a few days ago he told us September is all about scare tactics and September is one of scarecrows. He thinks himself an expert while he is at best just an "Israeli" official.
11. Lieberman' crystal ball is more realistic.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.09.11)
As many have written, it's wise to be prepared. Not just for Intifada III. What if a war erupts and the PA are supported by all the countries that recognize it? What if the U.S. declares neutrality? Oy v'avoy.
12. We must all keep in mind: the US hasn't said NO to a ...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.09.11)
...Security Council vote, yet!!! Mr. B.H.Obama has attempted to discourage the Arabs of Eretz Israel's (Land of Israel's) leadership from going to the UN, but has not been definite about vetoing move like this at the Security Council, or even voting against it at the General Assembly of the UN. Thus, Jews, all over, must contact their governments: in the US, the UK, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc. and demand that these government vote against such a move by the Arabs. All of us, Jews, have our work cut out for us to do, and intensively so!!!
13. We are confused about Erdogans Foreign Policy
Tim ,   Brighton   (08.09.11)
But worse still Erdogan is confused about Erdogans Foreign Policy
14. Beware of a solution that is worse than the problem.

Turkey and Israel deserve each other. For two decades, the Israel lobby in the US was feeding the wolf ... now the wolf has grown and is coming back to eat them. Rabbi Hillel said it best, "If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?" When will the Israel lobby (AJC, JINSA, ADL and AIPAC) stop supporting Turkey's denial of its crime of genocide of 1.5 million Armenians and stop blocking the US Congress from passing a resolution to acknowledge it? And, when will the State of Israel do the right thing and acknowledge the Armenian genocide? The world doesn't take seriously what American Jewish leaders have to say about the 6 million Jews killed during World War II, not when it sees the same Jewish leaders lobby the US Congress against acknowledging the Genocide of Armenians and quite everyone over the murders of 1.5 million other innocents. Raphael Lemkin, a lawyer of Polish-Jewish descent, coined the word "genocide" specifically to describe the barbarity that befell the Armenians at the hands of the Turkish State. Dr. Lemkin explained that the Turks committed genocide with the full intent to annihilate; he added "I became interested in genocide because it happened so many times, first to the Armenians, then after the Armenians, Hitler took action." The inscriptions from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington reads, "Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?" - Adolf Hitler ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hitler_Armenian_Quote.JPG ) We cannot help but ask ourselves, had the world community used its full energy and resources to speak out against the Armenian Genocide, might the world have become more aware and more forcibly interceded against the destruction of European Jewry during the time of the Nazis? Apologize to genocidal Turkey? Sadly, we all know too well what happened 66 years ago when the World appeased another genocidal state with its evil-leader. When will Israel acknowledge the Genocide of Armenians?
