And we thought you were just talking to yourself. Glad you cleared that up. Now what are these fallacies that you refer to? You have not managed to point out any. I can only hope that Sarah B will be able to sleep at night after hearing the heartbreaking tale of how you will discard her opinions. If it were me I know I would be crushed that someone sweeter than honey and not far enough away felt like that about me.
32. Down with Aristocrats in Every Country
swr ,   usa   (08.12.11)
About 10,000 aristocrats were executed during the French Revolution, mostly for trying to take money out of the country. Over 50,000 working class people were executed in the aftermath of the Paris Commune. Funny how we never here about them. And spare me the American Revolution. How many millions of lives were destroyed by slavery before a war far bloodier than the French Revolution ended it. I'm glad to see at least some of the protesters in Tel Aviv get it.
33. Jacques Necker
David ,   Gedera, Israel   (08.12.11)
The erection of a guillotine did not "stun" tent city or, for that matter, its dwellers. What a typical stunning example of a sensational headline. So what would have been a better symbol for our anxious, distressed, and troubled general public? A statue of Jacques Necker?
34. French Revolution, Failure or Success?
Ralph ,   Calgary Canada   (08.13.11)
Sure, the French revolution did not instantly herald a utopia of liberty, democracy and equality - but it paved the way for the birth of the modern, constitutional, nation state. Without the French revolution, there would have been no American revolution. We would all be serfs...
