1. She's absolutely disgusting.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.13.11)
No other comment is really necessary, we all know her history. Livni's comments do not deserve a headline - she's already politically irrelevent, her career is almost over. Somewhere in the back of her small mind, she must realize that fact, thus the shrill nature of her discourse. By now, she must also realize that Obama will not rescue her career, he can't even rescue his own career. I'm not a big fan of Netanyahu but Livni? Oy vay. Livni as PM would be like a bullet in our collective head.

Ginette Golden ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.13.11)
Right on Terry! In that very small mind of hers she think she is fulfilling her role as the head of the opposition party...she looks more like a capo to me! I was not joking when I wrote Bogi (Ya'alon) for PM or if he is too tired for the job then let's elect Terry for PM then let the real "negotiations" begin. Shabbat shalom.
3. I wouldn't worry about it.
Born2bfree   (08.13.11)
Abbas is about to fall flat on his face!
4. LIVNI BLAMES DA PM.
DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (08.13.11)
Livni is deluded ;Livni is secluded ;from re-a-li-ty ,which suits her to a tee. She blames Netanyahu for the sun rising in da east ,setting in da west ,the London Riots ,The economic crisis in greece ,the Tsunami in japan ,Mount Etna erupting in Italy etc.
5. Terry #1
Emperor ,   USA/Israel   (08.13.11)
Right on, Terry! Kol HaKavod. By the same token, Bibi is harming his chances for re-election and that is also a bullet we do not need.
6. She sounds like Obama.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.13.11)
Obama says, ''It's all George Bush's fault.'' Livni says, ''It's all Netanyahu's fault.'' I expect Livni to blame Netanyahu for Global Warming, Tsunamis, the earthquake in Japan, the London riots, the massacres in Syria ....... She has a bad case of Netanyahu Derangement Syndrome.
7. I actually voted for Kadima and Livni. Never Again
steve ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.13.11)
8. Livni hate more Bibi than love Israel.
ROSENVALD ,   BRASIL   (08.13.11)
9. Livni...move to the galut
BJL ,   usa   (08.13.11)
You do not deserve to live in Israel. If you had your way, Israel would be destroyed already.
10. Livni
Gabriel ,   Dallas, TEXAS, USA   (08.13.11)
This woman is shameless. Devoid of any original ideas, always attacking others, the typical opportunistic politician. She conveniently forgets that while she was FM no amount of running and sucking up to Abbas brought Israel closer to a peace agreement. It takes 2 to tango and obviously the PA has no intention to do so, they are trying to bypass Israel and get a better deal from the rest of the world and de-legitimize Israel in the process.
11. Why doesn't she blame Obama?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.13.11)
It's actually his fault that negotiations broke down.
12. SO - ?
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (08.13.11)
Direct Capitulation is better rhan resistance ?. What an remarcable Woman - Amasing ? Arn.
13. Time for Livni to be ejected from political life..
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.13.11)
As columnist Isi Leibler noted recently, Livni has crossed all red lines in her disgusting attacks on Israel's elected P.M. and in siding with Israel's enemies. It is way past time for Livni to be ejected from political life. Nobody has ever come up with an answer to the simplest of questions regarding Livni. What good has she ever done for Israel? Livni supplies constant ammunition for Israel's genocidal enemies and her political position enables her to serve them very well. Enough is enough. I call upon every decent Israeli to demand that Kadima fire Livni.
14. Livni
Ben ,   USA   (08.13.11)
A few years ago I thought that she is a new GOLDA onn the IL political scene, but I was wrong she is a STUPID woman. She should leave politics because she is harming the State of ISRAEL. I didn't hear an inteligent thing or an alternative idea from her she only moaning and complaining.
15. She's right....
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (08.13.11)
His speech to Congress made it quite clear he doesn't want to negotiate with Abbas. Hence leaving Abbas no other choice. Now when everything is fitting into place, Netanyahu has a change of heart and is preaching to deaf ears because we are all tired of it.... Abbas know's what he has to do, and it doesn't involve Netanyahu or any other peace-avoiding RW Israeli's.
16. Livni would give the PA her panties to be PM again
Sarah ,   Israel   (08.13.11)
She was kicked out because she is a suck up fool - absolutely not qualified to even give an opinion.
17. On the 21st of September, the day after the PLO makes its...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.13.11)
move at the UN, and regardless of the results of the vote there, the following should happen: 1. Israel applies its laws to the entire "Area C" and much of "Area B", thus in effect annexing these areas and incorporating them in the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people. 2. Israel closes all borders to Gaza for human as well as commercial movement: no one goes in and no one goes out, including VIPs of any kind. Gaza, from this point on will have to deal directly with the country from which it was captured by Israel in 1967, Egypt. 3. Israel will call a meeting with Egypt and Jordan and put in motion the application of UN Security Council Resolution, 242, as is. It will discuss with these two countries how to arrive an an accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world and the nation-state of the Jewish people, by setting with these two countries the final "secure and recognized boundaries" as called by UN Security Council Resolution, 242. 4. As for the "Palestinians", they'll have to fend for themselves, in all respects!!
18. #13 Chaim, Israel.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.13.11)
I read the article by Isi Leibler the other day. What you say in your post is true but you're taking Livni too seriously. Sure, she's a creep but more than that, she has made herself into an object of ridicule, she's a joke & should be taken as a joke, she's become a parody, someone to make fun of. Anyone know some good Livni jokes?
19. Livini Lies
LT COL HOWARD ,   WASHINGTON DC   (08.13.11)
Livini has done everything possible to undercut Israel and Netanyahu. She has gone back channel to urge the State Department and the White House to support the Palestinian bid. She is ambitious and unscrupulous. All Israelis should recognize that what she is doing is causing future Israeli deaths. She should be voted out of power in her party immediately. This is as close to treason as I've seen in a long time.
20. We need solutions, not more complaints
Steven A. ,   Bay Area, USA   (08.13.11)
I feel that Mrs. Livni divides the country politically more than unites it. Her actions as opposition leader do not suggest an ability to lead, but rather to tear down. There's plenty to discuss on the table. The issue is Palestinian statehood, so get with the program and stop complaining.
21. Bibi is responsible
Barry ,   Boston   (08.13.11)
I don't know if Livni is a good leader or not. However, the fact is that Bibi hasn't made any real attempt to renew negotiations with the PA. Abbas has no choice but to bring the issue of statehood to the UN. The result will be unnecesary hardships for Israel and the PA. The blame lies with Bibi's shortsighted views of how to best deal with the Palestinians.
22. The intensiveness of hatred and "bibiphobia"
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (08.13.11)
is the best proof of our PM greatness. Although anyone is perfect.
23. Livni and Ynet talkbacks
Shaul R   (08.13.11)
It's very telling that the only comment supportive of Livni's stance so far comes from a consistently anti-Israel 'lebanon pride' (from Canada, of all places -lol). To all those with clear understanding of Israeli politics and Israel's well-being at heart Livni represents all that is wrong with politicians today. Liebler is quite right - it is time for this disgusting opportunist to go away...far, far away.
24. september 20
alex ,   ashkelon israel   (08.13.11)
this woman with olmert almost give up golan and 1/2 of israel away and now barking and barking israeli should ignor her
25. add me to the list-she is disgusting!!
mike1947 ,   Raanana, Israel   (08.13.11)
She will do anything to undermine Bibi. All she thinks about is herself. She doesn't give a toot for the country. Not one word of criticism directed against the PA and their faileure to show any sign of wanting to live in peace with Israel nor to negotiate. I think Livni should call it quits and take up gardening!
26. Livni is out for herself at Israel's expense.
Sandra ,   NYC   (08.13.11)
She couldn't make a deal even when Abbas was willing to talk to her with NO pre-conditions. Barak, Olmert and Livni all failed to make a deal and it's no accident. Abbas will never sign a deal that leaves Israel standing. The pre-conditions were Obama's "gifts" to Israel as an Israel-hater and they will end up undoing Mahmoud Abbas for his foolishness in going along with them.
27. what was left after Abbas turned Olmert down
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (08.13.11)
Kadima offered Abbas more than even Barak and was turned down. What was left for Bibi to offer even if Abbas had not refused to talk to Bibi before he was sworn in?
28. If Livni Had it Her Way...
Aharon   (08.13.11)
The "palestinians" would be in control of Tel Aviv.
29. Livni OUT!
GAH!   (08.13.11)
She is part of what is undermining Israel. She needs to GO!
30. Bibi must love having such a whacked-out opposition.
