It has been months since Barak took away weapons from the settlements. The fear on his part (and he is consumed by fear) was that if the Palestinians attacked the settlements, if the settlers actually had weapons to defend themselves a Palestinian might get injured or killed. He was afraid that if that happened to a Palestinian the world's media would assign blame to him. Because he knows that the world media thinks next to nothing about Jews, Barak again (think back to his middle-of-the-night, tail-between-his-legs Lebanon retreat) has chosen to make it easier to count dead Jews than dead Palestinians. After all, they're "only settlers."

So, the IDF wants to release terrorists from prison, allow _more_ weapons into the West Bank (where the terrorists went home to), increase the number of "palestinian" Arabs from Judea and Sarmaria into the rest of Israel, and remove roadblocks between the same. In addition, the IDF wants to increase the amount of security forces tasked with fighting Jewish "settlers" in Israel's heartland of Judea and Samaria. Woul someone please explain to me how this will keep Israel safe?

Why weren't desalination plant permits given out years ago? With water shortages a part of Israeli life wouldn't it make sense to have as many desalination plants as possible for both Israelis and Palestinians?

If you really want peace, then you need to transfer most of the Arabs in Yesha to Jordan, annex Yesha to Israel, and allow unlimited Jewish housing construction and development in Yesha communities.
