3. How about a plastic lulav ?
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.19.11)
A smart entrepreneur might consider the possibility
4. Why can't Israel make their own lulavim?
Etoile ,   Montreal, CAN   (08.19.11)
No seriously, what is stopping Israel from being self-sufficient in this field? It makes sense, since it would definately beat the uncertainty that occurs from this dependency on Egypt every year. Plus you can't say there is no market for it. Also, the option of sharing lulavim should be considered.

The situation with Egypt continues to escalate and Israeli lives may be endangered as a result....yet there are people whose big concern is that Egyptian lulav imports will be in danger? What chicken shit.

this article was printed just about 24 hours after the terrorist attack which came out of Egypt. With all respect to Mr. Medzini (he's just the messenger) Y-net (you as the decision maker) should have been more sensitive than to print this at this time! Printing this now confirms that you (Y-net) are hell bent on finding ways to me make the Ultra-Orthodox appear in a bad light. and for that Y-net: Shame on you!
8. Why buy from Egypt?
INDIAN ,   USA   (08.20.11)
Why not grow your own? They would love to see you guys wiped off the map and you patronize their stuff?
9. DO NOT EVEN GO THERE!
HINDU ,   India   (08.20.11)
I do not understand why you Israelis want to buy stuff and help their economy? Why do you want to visit Egypt when the Egyptians do not like you guys? Stay home, grow your own stuff, and build your foreign exchange reserve.

Israel ALWAYS gets its priorities screwed up - there are more PR people in Israel then any other place on earth, but they don't have a clue as to what the hell they are doing. Its all about money, bottom line and lives are of least importance.
12. NOO!!! Not the lulavim!!
WhoCares ,   Israel   (08.21.11)
Israel has to make peace with Egypt IMMEDIATELY!! If they want the Negev or Jerusalem or whatever, we should hand it over...we can't suffer another day without our precious, precious Egyptian lulavim!! ....oh wait, yes we can!
