The FBI statistics show 1,200 hate Anti-Muslim bias crimes in the period unless you use the incidents statistics which shows the 1,700. Directly after 9/11 the numbers were clearly higher in those years. The Justice Dept. shows a much higher figure because they use a uniform definition rather than individual state definitions which vary.
