91. Send Evil Erdogan,et al to Hague!
David ,   USA   (09.02.11)
Turkey never recognized Armenian, Kurdish or Israeli rights. These Jihadists should be brought to the Hague & punished for jeopardizing Israel by sending the IHH, an internationally recognized Terrorist group, to break Israel's right to survival!
92. And what about?
Israel ,   Texas, USA   (09.02.11)
And what about Syria, when is Turkey going to ask Syria to apologize for the murder of thousands of Syrians, when are they going to expel the Syrian ambassador. It's all smoke and mirrors to distract their own people, plus if any one believes that if Israel apologized Turkey leadership will change they are wrong. They will do what all the Arab countries in conflict with Israel had done, they will ask for something else or else.
93. 1
steve   (09.02.11)
They wanted a report (Turkey, Israeli MK's etc), it came along. They didnt like it so now pronounce it null And void. How pathetic. Maybe we can decide we don;t like Turkey and pronounce it null and void. Just a shame that Turkey and many of its people are great, yet its stupid leaders only want their own way. Who needs them anyway.
94. #18
steve   (09.02.11)
you would be better observing all the crap going on in your country before you make all your clever comments
95. #54
steve   (09.02.11)
so as long as they seem to be protecting the 4 kurds there Ali, that allows them to continually abuse and kill hundreds of thousands of others does it ?
96. Turkeys examplery act
Petit ,   France   (09.02.11)
Turkey is an example for the world. The world should follow Turkeys step how to handle with the zionist apartheid state Israel. Who goes killing civilians on international waters, using excessive force. Davutoglu (means son of David)
97. Not too bright because Turkey is the loser!
michael redbourn ,   arad israel   (09.02.11)
Israel imports tons of goods such as washing machines and fridges from Turkey that are warehoused there by many major companies. Israeli tourism which was a major income winner for Turkey will now grind to a halt, and many Turkish businessmen have already been up in arms about this for months. Turks are not Arabs, but the mentality is similar. Egypt is going bankrupt and "rebels" keep blowing up the gasoline pipes that supply both Israel and Jordan. And who will lose when it comes to technology exchange? You get one guess!
98. #18 - you totally misunderstand ..
michael redbourn ,   arad israel   (09.02.11)
Yes, over 1/2 of the Jews living in Israel are from Arab countries. But they left the Arab countries because they were Jews and not Arabs or Muslims. Th mizrahi Jews are perhaps the strongest defenders of Israel. Perhaps you should do a little homework before posting?. Jews from Arab countries are not Muslims. They have lots of children. Jewish children!
99. #22 - #5 is correct. What don't you understand?
michael redbourn ,   arad israel   (09.02.11)
100. No apology from Israel to Turkey
Dik ,   Spijkenisse Holland   (09.02.11)
it is Turkey who challenged Israel with the hateful flottilla. Israel had full right of self defence and can only say sorry for thekilled people in action. Shalom from Holland
101. I love this Plan B. So much better than Plan A!
jonathan ,   london/ israel   (09.02.11)
102. 53. Massada complex
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (09.02.11)
It's time you andf the others woke up and realised that there are limits to our power, both militarily and economically. It's also time you looked beyond the Massad complex from which you so obviously suffer and got an accurate perspective on us and the Jewish people. Jews the world over and especially in the USA where Diaspora power is concentrated do not see us as theiur protector, their Bayit, their Miklat or their priority. And why? You only have to read my earlier post and watch the social protests and our increasing isolation, our disproportionate military reactions and our discriminatory legislation. But you can if you wish continue to pretend whatever you wish. Just don't keep foisting this 3-Monkies-thinking on everyone else. Shabbat Shalom.
103. Israel Needs NO APOLOGY !!
John ,   Los Angeles, Ca USA   (09.02.11)
No Apology needed FRM Israel but rather Turkey owes ISRAEL an Apology for its own behavior.
104. Hahahahaha.. what a bunch of TURKEYS!!!
Yoni ,   Israel   (09.02.11)
105. to salma #23
proud palestinian   (09.02.11)
Real men like you, Salma?
106. crazyturk
Caglayancix ,   Turkey   (09.02.11)
The Turks will come to Israel one day ..!!
107. Who's right. We do not have the Government of Israel?
Ali ,   İstanbul , TURKEY   (09.02.11)
We look at love and respect to our friends, but also are not stupid, we see the hostility as well. The State of Israel in the hands of a terrorist gang. I do not believe in the state of Israel is our friend. According to me an apology. already been completely torn off relations with the Turkish people and wants to apologize . killing of innocent and unarmed people of fascist, Adolph Hitler 's that are children of Liebermann and Netanyahu will give account for their deeds. I hope as soon as a war. If your are ready to die. We are Turks\ 'settlement having a smile for us, you find that you die if you look at history. Varolacağız existed in fighting and fighting. In addition, we be like the Arabs confuse us with them.
108. They want our tourism
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (09.02.11)
Recently on Israel tv there was a report in which channel two interviewed Turks in the bazaars and shops. they are all begging the Israelis to come back as we are their best customers. I would like to see Israelis boycott holidays in turkey, though I guess the casino crowd will not give up their gambling so quickly.
109. vacation
PROUD ,   BELGIUM   (09.02.11)
Only one group should vacation in Turkey..editorial staf of haaretz
110. Ahmet Davutoglu
tiki ,   belgium   (09.02.11)
a little Turk with a 'much to big ego for his stature. He always looks like he's in trouble, which is probably true, if you consider his boss, an even bigger (muslim pride) idiot than he is.
111. The dumbing down of Turkey
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.02.11)
Turkey suffers embarrassment caused by its out-of-control Islamic radicals. The UN confirms that the Turkish ships were illegally running a legal blockage. The Turks are mad that the report vindicates Israel. The Turks on the boat clearly attacked the IDF soldiers who were carrying out a legal (although bungled) boarding. The Turks were obviously NOT aid workers, or relief workers, but rather the armed and violent Islamic radicals whom you see on the videos trying to beat and stab the soldiers to death. Turkey has egg on its face. Instead of owning up to the truth, Turkey kisses Islamofascist butt and tries to score points on the anti-Israel bandwagon. Pathetic behavior from its leaders.
112. Time for social justice protesters in Israel...
William ,   Israel   (09.02.11)
to make a statement... and takeover the Turkish Embassy in Tel Aviv, and demand it be turned into affordable housing.
113. #18 - Askenazi Jews have genes typical of Middle East
William ,   Israel   (09.02.11)
and they have the Jewish gene which they share with their Mizrahi brethren (but not the desert dwellers next door). So, no demographic issue here.
114. #23 - we're still waiting for apologies from the 1920s
William ,   Israel   (09.02.11)
but you can start with the most recent terrorist atrocities, especially the PA govt cover-up of the Fogel family slaughter where Abbas purposely blamed it on a Thai worker. ...and work backwards.
115. #25 - yawn
William ,   Israel   (09.02.11)
116. #54 - if this attack wasn't against Israel...
William ,   Israel   (09.02.11)
those of Kurdish origin wouldn't even be considered. Go ask the Kurds about their rights in Turkey. They can't even speak their own language or teach their own history - which extends further into history than the Ottoman Empire.
117. THE TRUTH HURTS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.02.11)
I wonder has Turkey cut diplomatic ties with Syria or Libya? Over the killing of thousands of protesters by their governments. Not to my knowledge. So again we that laughable double standard applied to Israel. Why let those pesky little facts get in the way (Israel's blockade was legal, the flotilla lied about their true goals, the IHH started the fight, etc.). You see Turkey has decided that, and I quote: "Davutoglu said that some of the UN's Palmer Report findings on the raid were "unacceptable,". Now the difference is when Israel protests the findings of a report, that it feels is wrong, they present a written reason and a point by point explanation. As with the "Goldstone Report", and it was retracted by the author based on facts presented by Israel. Of course all the anti-Israel writers will say that isn't true, but it is true. Who are we to believe, those who hate Israel, or the author of the Goldstone report? Turkey like the arrogant spoiled child they are throw a tantrum. Then begin lying to back their position. Don't expect a well written criticism of the report. Just often repeated, and unsubstantiated accusations (lies).
118. Turkey apologies
(09.02.11)
And when will Turkey apology for the 800 jewish victims, who drowned into the Black Sea ? The refugee ship STRUMA was denied to let in to Istanbul, without explanation by turkish authorities in 1942. And when will Turkey apologies for the mass murdering of 1000 upon 1000 of Armenians and Greeks? The world is still waiting for Turkey to apologize
119. Turkey
Moisha Kapoir ,   Nanuet USA   (09.02.11)
Since Turkey has stopped all military cooperation with Israel, NATO should remove its missile defense system from Turkey and reposition them in Israel. After Turkey allowing activists to break a legal blockade of an ally ( Israel) it can no longer be trusted to protect Western Interests and Democracy.
120. Ali #107
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.02.11)
Weather you like it or not Israel also will exist forever (Israil sonsuzluga kadar VAROLACAK). I only hope that the Turks will come back to their senses and back to Ataturk's path soon and became friends with Israel - their best ally in the region once again. Right now with AKP leadership don't blame the world confusing Turks with Arabs because right now Turkey looks more like an Arab state then a Europen state.
