1. Give it to them and hold them acountable
izzie irgun ,   zion   (09.05.11)
Remember the boy with his finger in the dyke .. well israel is that boy. The plaestinians state is coming no matter wht and it looks like it will arrive later this month/ With it will come a host of dilpomatic and legal issues, But so what, its just another form of the war we have been in for 65 years. This is just the 21st century version. So lets highjack the palestinians idea. Have the kinneset support their bid and let every headline proclaim israel supports creation of palestinians state with boarders to be negotiatied. Never give in on the boarders but give them their titular state. Lawfare attacks are a dime a dozen and don't change the facts on the gound. And israel can fight back in the courts with the UNs own historical doxuments that prove there has never been a paslestinian state. Israel can use the law to its advantage too, the palestinisnas have numerous legal vulnerabilites too. Its is simply time to shake up the middle east and the only way to do so is for israel to change its approach to dealing with the palestinains. Something bold like supporting their state would throw every european anti semite off their seat. So give the palestinians a state, let them negotiate their boarders and by the way also let them know loudly, right now, that they can forget that right of return .. lets ses abbas and his syncophants argue in public that after getting a state they want ship half its population to israel ... when the worlds stops laughing we start winning day 1.

4. Objection, my Lord!
Observer 1 ,   Chrangbegbo, Ghana   (09.05.11)
We request that they go to the UNGA and drink their defeat to the full. BTW, why is Obunma trying to prevent them from going to the UN? Is he afraid that his people might be humiliated? Or is it that he's trying to avoid using his veto power to help Israel? Whichever way I see it, it's a bruising humiliation that awaits the pals. You can't eat your cake and have it. No way, I scream again.

9. Barak
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.05.11)
Abbas recently sent his praise and best wishes to Arab heroine Ahlam Tamimi, murderer of: Hemda Schijveschuurder (2 years old) Avram Schijveschuurder (4) Tamara Shimashvili (8) Yocheved Shoshan (10) Ra'aya Schijveschuurder (14) Malki Roth (15) Michal Raziel (16) Instead of refusing to talk to Abbas, Israel's "Defense Minister" Barak crawled on his belly like a worthless Dhimmi to Amman to meet Abbas, begging some favor. Barak should move somewhere.
10. #1 Izzi Irgun.....
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (09.05.11)
You forgot to mention the consequences of further territorial concessions, we all know too well what happened in Lebanon,Gaza and now in Sinai. thousands of missiles are waiting for a fantic's order to start raining down on israeli cities; the smaller Israel will be the more vulnerable it would be to massive terror onslaught, not to mention the historical aspects of this matter. Does the world needs one more terrorist state? They can't even live in peace among themselves, the entire arab world is in turmoil, they are killing each other like cockroaches. Difficult and crucial times lie ahead and Israel must ready to fight on multiple fronts, at the UN and on the ground. Israel needs strong leadership with clearcut statements; Barak and maybe Netanyahu too, must disappear from the political arena.
11. To no.1 Accountable ?
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (09.05.11)
Who are you trying to hold accountable here, Izzie ? Just as their nation, so their state will and is a myth...They don't want it...Can they give up on terror groups? All they strive for, is to find the right way and the justification to destroy and innihilate Israel and the Jewish people... And you suggesting we should play their game ? Actually, we have done that already many times and still trying to do..We are tired doing it, tired of being chosen by our leaders, such as barak to be scape goats for the "peace",that is coming to us as daily rockets, aiming to kill us ..Do you think that even if somehow Israel would make peace with them, would it stop the daily kassams and terror acts ? How naive of you, Izzie ! We need a "buldozer" of a Leader, who would keep our Nation safe within our borders and make our enemies fear to even think to intimidate our sovereignty. There is only one way to shake up the Middle East. But it is not by weakness, you silly...

....and there's no 'Palestine' shown on any map of the Turkish Empire. Maybe,Mr Erdogan has already got in mind a 'Palestine' in an imagined new Turkish Empire, but I cannot see it being independent. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
13. #3who is barak?Good Question
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.05.11)
I come to this as an admirer of Mr Barak as a military man and Defence Minister. My problem with him is that he seems to have set himself up as FM and PM as well.In my opinion his meddling has gone too far and he should leave the government. What confuses me is that Mr Barak IS still a minister seeing that he is now the leader of a political party which didn't put up a list at the last election because it didn't exist then. How can Mr Barak and the rest of the ex-Labor members of this new Independence party still sit as MKs let alone be ministers? Nobody voted for them. Surely their Knesset seats should be transferred to other Labor members who were on the Labor list and remain in the Labor Party and maintain the original coalition.Perhaps somebody could explain this to me. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL
14. How nice, the anti-Semitic defense minister meets in the
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.05.11)
"palestinian" capital of Jordan with the anti-Semitic leader of the "palestinians" in secret to plot together. They deserve each other and I hope barak gets some free land to live on in whatever area the "palestinians" are awarded by the UN but by the time that happens, he will be dead, his children will be dead, his grandchildren will be dead, his great grandchildren will be dead......
15. Abbas says this and means that...
A ,   Belgium   (09.05.11)
I can't tell if this guy Abbas is talking or passing gas through his mouth: "We encourage Arab nations to recognize Israel as we have promoted in the Arab Peace Initiative." Fine, great, so be the first one to recognize Israel, worm! .Nah, you cant do that 'cause you might get your hamas bretheren angry and who knows what THEY would do to you and your family. And by the way, Mahmoudi, dont be to proud about meeting Barak, he is a nobody with a Knesset seat. Kind of like Zoubi, Tibi and the rest of their ilk.

18. #10 and 11, thank you but you're dead wrong
izzie irgun ,   zion   (09.05.11)
Come on guys we all know that the west bank is destined to become another fascist Islamic state, it already is one, there is no going back ... And get real, the Palestinians already have missiles that can hit anywhere in Israel, they do not need to fire them from the west bank ... Israel should pull as many troops out as possible, free up roadblocks where prudent and give them a state subject to negotiating the final boarders. Then watch. Today the world press blames Israel on a daily basis for causing Islamic terror even though it’s a lie .. the only way to turn the tables on them is to force them to confront the double standard ... let the Palestinians publically state that in their new democratic Palestine no Jew can own land and no Jew can live in the west bank .. let them argue for the right to return half their population to Israel .. let them deny responsbility for rocket fire ... this would change the dynamic instantaneously as the Palestinians would no longer be a bunch of legal committees and political parties but a state with sovereign rights and obligations ... and they can be held accountable for their actions unlike today ... think about this, agreeing to the creation of a Palestinian state subject to boarder negotiations would force all of Europe to support the boarder negotiations, what else can they say ... and whats the need for a BDS movement if a state is created ..or UNRWA, after all the refugees would have a place to go now .. no one could vilify Israel any more especially not after supporting the palestinians national asperations ... and by accountable, the Palestinians would be a state and committing an act of war, they would no longer be a bunch of terrorists holding Gaza hostage as Europe likes to pretend … the Palestinians are making the ultimate stupid move here and if Bibi gets a brain and some balls he can take control of the conflict once and for all. this could turn out to be a gift from the almightly.
19. I agree with #1 izzie Irgun
TheMadZionist(Jake) ,   SF, CA   (09.05.11)
It would baffle the world. It's about time the Israelis start thinking from a different perspective. They should agree with Pali statehood. I think anyone with commOn sense and knowledge of the situation realizes that the palistinians won't stop their struggle and terror even after getting a state. They cannot and will not stop until well their and every other pro Pali as they say from the river to the sea is achieved. Anyone that believes that once they get their state there will be peace is either naive or just majorly misinformed. They won't stop until the Jewish state is destroyed. But I'm tired of every anti israel argument starting with occupation. If palis get their first state ever then if one missile, one suicide bomber, one anything related to terror happens, it will have to be held accountable, no more excuses of form of resistance to the occupation. But I know that even if palis get a state they are still gonnna somehow be occupied, it will never end. Jake Oh and for all the anti israelites that say israel does not want peace, please do research, since 67 israel has made countless concessions and offers, some really damaging to israel but it was still offered and always rejected. I'm sure behind closed doors there were many more, israel only benefits from peace not war, israel never ever ever wants a war but it's inevitable that there will be anymore. Jake
20. Adding to the mountains of reasons to fire Barak.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.05.11)
Abbas is likely telling the truth about this disgusting meeting; knowing what we know about Barak. Barak appears willing to do almost anything against Israel's vital interests. His lunatic proposal to arm P.A. terrorists is only the latest example. This meeting adds to the mountains of reasons to fire Barak. YNet, once and for all, please stop calling Abbas the "Palestinian President". There is no Palestine and a nonexistent nation can't have a president.
21. #2 King David was an occupyier too

He had no intention of living in peace with the Jebusites.

M0RAGH   (09.05.11)
I totally agree with your suggestion but..... Barak is sooooo greedy (not desperate) for money he would even sell his own soul for a Dime. Just thought about what I wrote re Barak and his soul..... other than money, he doesn't have a soul. Wow, I'll pray for him but this will be very hard work!

Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (09.05.11)
Unfortunately you're completely detached from reality. The world is antisemitic and will be. They have blamed and accused the jewish people throughout centuries, no matter what and it is not going to change by giving up our land and holy sites. As far as the arabs concern, do you trust them? Anybody with a little common sense? I wish you good luck.
24. Big deal !

A holocaust-denier is smarter than E. Barak. I' m kinda getting scared, though!
25. Lots of hate, I see
Pär Engholm ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (09.05.11)
All these comments are really depressing. Do you really want peace or would you all prefer all the Palestinians were killed so you can occupy the whole territory without any resistance?
26. You've got it #25!
Israeli 2 ,   In Stockholm   (09.06.11)
No destruction of Israel allowed by anyone.
