1. under the influence
Marcel ,   San Jose, Costa Rica   (09.08.11)
If I am under "the influence" I don't say things such as Galliano did. In fact, I don't say things I don't believe in. I don't buy for a minute that Galliano didn't mean every word he uttered. What a scumbag.
2. So that's why.
Robert Carey ,   Brisbane, Australia   (09.08.11)
I wonder if some of the talkbackers here are under the influence when they post which may explain their mindless abuse of almost everyone.
3. This WIMP looks like what he is, an IDIOT !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (09.08.11)
4. So, he's found guilty and let off?
Talula ,   Israel   (09.08.11)
Isn't what he did a crime in France? And aren't crimes supposed to be punishable by law? What in crickey f**k is a suspended sentence of 6,000 Euro? In effect, he has come out of this untouched – all the Idiot French have done is encourage other Anti-Semites to spew out hate against Jews and others – and, when they get taken to court, this case will be used as a precedent to get them off the hook. It's beyond disgusting. I would have thought the French, after hosting a German invasion during the war, would have grown some balls - apparently not. They, including their judicial system, are weak and pathetic.

6. Now let's Indict Israeli Leftist anti-Semites!
SIvan ,   Haifa   (09.08.11)
Charge them in Paris court!
7. Talula / 4
Gili the Geezer ,   Tel Aviv   (09.08.11)
He didn't get off untouched, he lost his job at Dior and got fired fomr his own fashion label. Plus had his name well and truly dragged through the mud and forced to apologise profusely. All in all a pretty good win for Jewish people, you should be pleased.
8. #2 - it's called "small man syndrome".
seadog1946 ,   Arthur Kill, NJ   (09.08.11)
9. Stupid law.
Gabriel ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.08.11)
How is it that none of the Ynet readers have yet scoffed at a law that can punish someone for something like "'public insults based on origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity"? It's typical European social depravity, requiring the government to censor speech. Absolutely pathetic.
10. Galliano
Elizabeth   (09.08.11)
He's what I call a typical shit-bag. Has anyone had a good look at his face? I have ... I also have a name for him/it. I'll hand it out as a christmas gift when the time comes around!
11. Talula @ 4
Moragh   (09.08.11)
hey Talula... that all took place in FRANCE. Don't tell me you were expecting a different decision???
12. A "suspended" fine
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.08.11)
Well, that's a new one.
13. #7 that has nothing to do with the law
AB ,   TheRock   (09.08.11)
The fact that he lost his job and his reputation was sullied is on behalf of the public. But where's the punishment by law for the crime??? Don't be so generous - because as the other talkbacker well said, this will be used as a precent for anybody doing the same thing.
14. Who Cares?
Atah Laflaf ,   NY NY   (09.08.11)
Another pickle sniffing dope addict makes an Anti Semitic remark and we go crazy? This guy is a nebbish...Who gives a rat's petutee what he thinks or says?
15. That's the way make others love you ;) ,...

16. Galliano is a hero
Gobbo   (09.09.11)
...to every Jew-hating bigot who dreams of exterminating us. It's wonderful that this shallow, looks-obsessed little man was caught on video spewing his Hitler-praising hatred. I'm glad it cost him his job and his reputation, and I hope it costs him and his like-minded bigots much, much more. But even though I despise sewer rats like Galliano, I object to the law that punishes people for hurling insults. Continuous harassment is one thing, but one episode of insult-spewing, no matter how despicable, should not be punishable by law. It's far more damaging and just for the culprit to suffer public humiliation, as in this case. Galliano will be haunted by this the rest of his days. The sad truth is that he represents multitudes of cowardly Jew-hating bigots who have yet to be outed, most of whom never will be.
17. such a beesch he thought himself
sweeter than honey ,   far away   (09.09.11)
with all those advantages. that it should come to this, world wide inadequacy.
18. Even without anti hate lows
marian ,   Romania   (05.12.13)
Even without an anti hate low, there are lows against offending and insulting someone or against disturbing the public order. We still have lows like these in Romania beside anti hate low. They fine you with some average salaries and some time of ''recovery''
