31. To # 4 with appreciation
Iosif ,   Coral Springs USA   (09.10.11)
O.K. Borzog, you win ! Never in my 6 years of commentaries experience have I read a more idiotic, noxious, ignorant and tasteless vomit like yours. When Allah made you, he had to throw away the mold, as it was a unique factory reject. Congratulations !
32. I think so...they are stupid.
Hugo ,   Bulgaria   (09.10.11)
Because they saved thousands of Jews from Hitler, they must be stupid.
33. Erdogan's arrogance.....
Robert ,   Brisbane, Australia   (09.10.11)
...has a long way to go before it matches Israel's. When Israel acknowledges a crime was committed in international waters by its soldiers, only then will Israel have the right to condemn others.
34. There IS a war; under the Table & Israel will WHIP Turks.
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (09.10.11)
Turkey does NOT have the sophistication of Israel concerning the ability to influence decision making at the decision maker level. And believe it; Israel will release their torrent under the table, stifling Turkish reps to a point where they'd prefer to have israel as a friend rather than an enemy and that perhaps Erdogan should get the 'boot' and someone else run the country. Israeli survival shrewdness among an insanely distorted anti-semitic world view should never be underestimated. So, sail your boats...maybe we won't sink them or get into a physical conflict. But we WILL make sure the world takes notice, on EVERY level, of Turkish hipocrazy, terrorism, backstabbing, instability, past GENOCIDES (YES! PLURAL!), their arrogance and how they cannot be trusted in any capacity. Natural, quiet boycotts and divestment will occur; business opportunities will dry up quietly...and worst of all, the very fabric of income turkey takes for granted and relies upon will be COMPLETELY undermined. No, we probably won't hit your ships; but we will begin to tell the TRUTH about Turkey and that WILL HIT YOUR POCKETS; YOUR ABILITY TO SUSTAIN YOURSELVES, CHASE OFF THE HERDS SO HUNTING AND GATHERING DRIES UP. So, bring it on Er-Dog-man; If you'd only have looked at the crappy situation you were already in you could have avoided the inevitable when it comes to tyranny: a rapidly crumbling society, riots, internal strife and LOSING (it all). Bring the boats turkey; your actions have already doomed you...perhaps you have nothing else to lose. Any nation who has no honor is NOTHING as it is. Turkey has NO HONOR.
35. EU, China, India, Japan want the gas from
Norman ,   USA   (09.10.11)
Israel. EU wants that gas to counter dependency on Russia. Greek Cyprus is in EU & assumes EU presidency very soon. Only Turkey recognizes Turk Cyprus & thus illegally occupies it. US firms want to sell equipment to the gas structures. Turkey will be in a big shock when those nations apply strong pressure on it. Besides, Turkey finance & economy soon will be worse than Spain & Greece. Erdoman friends Gaddafi, Assad soon gone leaving him with Iran. Saudi Arabia is no ally of Turkey and opposes it. Turk military tech from Israel.
36. Cairo is burning.
SecularTurkAmerican ,   Ca, USA   (09.10.11)
You all have too much hate and too much time on your hands. You'd be better served reading about your embassy in Cairo. Or what's left of it.
37. been there, done that...
Rafi ,   US   (09.10.11)
"It won't turn into a military confrontation, because the Turks aren't stupid. It's absurd to think a NATO country would get into a military confrontation with Israel," Sure... in May 1967, many experts said "Nasser will never actually go to war against Israel... He has too many Egyptian troops tied down in Yemen ..." Less than a month later Israel was on the banks of the Suez Canal...
38. Turks arnt stupid - but Erdogan has a mental problem .....
Ben Zion   (09.10.11)
......like Ahmadinejad or Hitler ,which makes the situation pretty dangerous. Look at Hitlers end : all Jew -haters will end like that - all of them, sooner or later!
39. HOW MANY TIMES!!!!
Robert ,   FARMINGTON,WV   (09.10.11)
How many times must they be beaten before they realize that they cannot win..for many moons the arabs and the muslem have tried to destroy the jewish state and they have not done it yet.. they need to take up basket making.

So lawyers can prepare lawsuits against them over their involvement in the Mavimara attack.
45. @#22
Henry from New York ,   USA   (09.10.11)
If I understand what you are saying, you're talking about Turkey soon having nukes. You do realise that about ten years ago, the estimated count for Israel's nukes was about 310 conventional nuclear warheads and ten thermonuclear? They probably have even more now, just be happy they don't use them.
46. @36
Henry from New York ,   USA   (09.10.11)
The embassy is fine my good sir, both the offices and the embassy itself. The building that houses those offices, well...
47. Hugo # 32 / Now I know why....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (09.10.11)
Polish people tell Bulgarian jokes.
48. #29 now you understand
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.10.11)
When Russia was weak, US and Europe took advantage to beat the Orthodox of Yugoslavia and invent Muslim and Catholic states. Now Russia is much more powerful. Do you think Putin will abandon the Orthodox Greeks and Cypriots to the Turks? Or do you think that he will take advantage of a war the Turks start to seize the Dardanellia?
49. # 36 What's about Erdogan's Gaza visit
Hamdi   (09.10.11)
A show with which he masturbated and Egypt caused to fail
50. one track mind of Erdogan
Samuel ,   Israel   (09.10.11)
Why doen't anybody ask the the one track minded Erdogan this one simple question? I quote: What would you have done if you were slogged with iron rods, stabbed with knives thrown over board & attacked by a number of men? The Israeli soldiers just wanted to board & check the ship for smuggled arms meant for Gaza. When at sea they were fired with huge water cannons. We demand an answer from him.
51. Turkey
tom dee ,   Savannah GA USA   (09.10.11)
It took England, France and what was left of Russia to defeat the Ottoman empire during WWI. They ruled the middle east for over 800 years and they probably are going to regain much of the area lost as England, France and the United States go bankrupt and leave the middle east. If I was a tiny county who would be a potential in a major war and unsteady friends I would be very careful about getting the Turkeys upset. I cannot think of one battle that the British one against the turks not organized and run by the arabs. At the end of WWI a full British Army including the commanding general was under house arrest in Iraq
52. # 29 Instanbuler
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (09.10.11)
Dear instanbuler merhaba. In your position, I would wonder more about who makes such grave mistakes in your country, instead of Israel. Turkey disrespects International Law of The Seas, but is conveniently cherrypicking whatever is of her interest ( ie Karadeniz 12mile territorial waters, while declining it for the Aegean Sea ). Turkey made the fatal mistake to think that Mediterranean is a turkish lake, where her veto applies, so that any country whishing to perform exploration drillings has to obtain her permit. It seems Turks never forgave themseves for quiting from Mosul and Kirkuk oil wells after WW1,and now they smelled gas in the Mediterranean. However since they alienated from the West with all this arrogance theater, it seems difficult to obtain a portion of this gas pie too. You would better stop this Israel blame game, and behave yourselves. Finally a friendly advice : dont even think of sending your Navy at Israel's neighborhood, unless you have decided to forget it for ever. Kocatepe did show the way to the bottom at July 22 1974, even without Greek interference.
53. @#51 re. Turkey
Historian   (09.10.11)
Tom, You ought to re-familiarize yourself with Turkey's (the Ottoman Empire then) downfall as a result of WWI and subsequent events. Turkey has a well-documented history of major blunders; obviously it hasn't learned its lessons too well and is still the very "Sick man of Europe". In your post, you have confused major past Allied blunders with even greater strategic blunders made by the Ottoman Empire during its last gasps...that was then. Yet, your confusion is current... Nowadays, Turkey is still a member of NATO and thus cannot bypass the self-imposed limitations of NATO's Charter, no matter the reason. If Turkey reneges on its legal obligations and rescinds its NATO membership through provoking war with Greece over Cyprus or through attacking Israel...it will become "toast", more specifically it will become a "Turkey Club Sandwich on Toast" and will be promptly brought to its knees. Allying itself with Iran and/or Egypt and then attacking Greece or Israel, will guarantee that the attacking countries will be wiped out and will regress to the Stone Age in the blink of an eye...if the attackers use WMD's, there will be instant retaliation resulting in lots of fused silica and radiation in the attackers' lifeless real estate.
54. Erdogan has cornered himself.
Reuel ,   Melbourne, Australia   (09.28.11)
After all his vain talks & threats, Erdogan has "cornered" himself. No war means his "shame". No peace means his "loss". Israel should be alert and prepared to defeat Turkey if necessary.
55. world peace
