1. So? It's just official.
John ,   Europe   (09.13.11)
2. Turkey Just Lost US Support: No More Arms
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (09.13.11)
Well this is serious business now. Turkey is really going out of its way to destroy itself completely. The truth is, its still a 3rd world nation and without the west, far worse than that. This little trash bin is about to turn into a giant dumpster; what a reckless brood with a psychopatic leader. Oh well. Poor turks. Actually, they can go to hell.
3. Thank you Barak Obama.
john ,   tel-aviv   (09.13.11)
Just remeber your speech in Cairo. Your bowing to Saudi king. Your harrasment of Israel. Your hand of friedmship extended to Iran and Syria. You barged like a blind elephant into the most tricky political labyrinth on Earth. The blood is flowing in abundance. Thank you Mr President. Thank you the Nobel Committee. For the prize paid in advance.
4. turkey better shut its mouth
joker ,   oz   (09.13.11)
your playing with fire, israel beat 10 armys in 6 days you fools
5. And so it begins...
ex-frummie ,   johannesburg, S.A.   (09.13.11)
Hope turkish pilots are not too high up when the U.S. turns off the codes that allow the F-16's to function.
6. this development
fad egypt   (09.13.11)
has been taking place since 2 years means before the flotilla incident that means that turkey was preparing or war with israel even before the flotilla incident turkey is idiot indeed shalom
7. The one who is born Turkey cannot become an Eagle
Roman ,   LA   (09.13.11)
8. Does that mean...
Ram ,   London   (09.13.11)
that Israeli jets will not be able to fire back because Turkish jets will still be identified as "friend"? Will Turkish Delight be renamed Rahat Lukum from now on? I sincerely hope the Israeli leadership is in control in these times.
9. No other sources reported this. I don't think it is true.
Can ,   Istanbul   (09.13.11)
Yet.
10. One step closer to military confrontation.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.13.11)
Turkey should be thrown out of NATO. The U.S. should suspend military cooperation with Turkey. But we all know this won't happen. NATO has been shown to be a paper tiger not even capable of defeating Qadaffi - without the U.S. NATO is nothing. All we can expect is dithering. Speaking of dithering, the only thing Obama will do is issue a statement, the usual BS of ''being concerned.'' And, of course, urging Israel to apologize to Turkey, thus pushing the blame onto us. I think we can now dispense with the nonsense that somehow we can salvage our relationship with Turkey. I mean, really, how stupid is it to expect Islamists to not act like Islamists? A fool could see this coming but sadly, most world leaders are not even fools, they prefer self-deception & make-believe. We can't even pretend that this is all bluff & bluster, we can't take the risk. I'm not a psychiatrist but it sure looks to me that Erdogan & Co. are not playing with a full deck.
11. BLOOD REVENGE!!!!
tiki ,   belgium   (09.13.11)
Untill his hurt 'pride is not revenged with blood, this maniak will not rest. The raging bull, who is not known for his brains but for his instincts. His 'toreador is Israel. But we all know how bullfights usually end......
12. when Turkey gets angry just don't f*** with them.
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.13.11)
the US does not want to lose its only Muslim ally on the planet ; not even for your sweety Eyes , zionists.
13. Cool your jets, Erdogan
Gobbo   (09.13.11)
14. The war of words has began.
Yoav ,   Germany   (09.13.11)
This is nothing but a psychological war with words. I´am sure when Turkey start war against Israel they become a lot of problems. Again Greeks, Kurds, Armenians just waiting for the oppotunity to pay Turks the revange back in full and the Turks know it too. Erdogan will make Turkey to new Otoman Impire, but instead can/will lead Turkey into Katastrophe. P.S. Where are all these "peace" people?! ;)
15. Erdogan will regret messing with Israel
Menachem ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
If Erdogan is stupid enough to attack Israel his armed forces will be reduced to rubble together with his inflated ego. Nobody messes with Israel unpunished.
16. Erdokhan's next moves
Susya Bar Dror ,   IL   (09.13.11)
He will give up to join the EU. (The EU anyway does not want an islamic non european country to be a meber). Then he will declare the Eurasian kaliphate. He, the choosen one, will be the next Kaliph. Then he will quit the NATO: required to begin a war against Israel. Then he will marry three more women. What else?
17. If that's not a declaration of war...
Fact... ,   World   (09.13.11)
What is it?...
18. #2 Ezra
Can ,   Istanbul   (09.13.11)
If this news is true (i don't think so) there is no chance that Turkey is doing it without US' approval and support. So consider it again. BTW, your ignorance and attitude is a typical 3rd world thug. Irony is also amusing.
19. US / Turkish Arms
Harry ,   Herzlia/London   (09.13.11)
Unlike arms that Il buys with US grants that have to be manufactured in the US to provide jobs in the US, Turkey manufactures arms/aircraft under licence. The money paid by Turkey for their arms/aircraft can't be directly taken out of Turkey, but has to be re-invested in a Turkish project, the profit from that project can be taken out of Turkey. So you have Lockheed Martin building hotels and other high value projects simply to get their money out ...
20. A prudent move
Robert ,   Australia   (09.13.11)
This is really a non-story. It is quite understandable that Turkey would adjust its IFF equipment to not automatically recognize Israeli targets as friendly. In view of the threats made here by rabid anti-Turkey posters to attack Istanbul and Ankara I suggest it is a prudent move.
21. Now we MUST close Israeli airspace to Turkish aircraft!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (09.13.11)
Israeli lives are now in danger! Erdogan has probably removed Iran from the system. This whole fiasco in the Middle East is Obama's fault because he betrayed the only stabilizing force in the area, Egypt, and his ally Hosni Mubarak!
22. Never trust a Turk, boycott them!
Arik A ,   hadera Israel   (09.13.11)
With backstabbers like those they are worse than snakes. Never trust them again! Never travel there either, fortunately i never did, boycott them!
23. Dude I've been to Turkey and to Israel...
oh just me   (09.13.11)
From what I saw Turkey is way more third world. Israel looks more like Spain, or something like that.
24. to Ezra
lamy ,   houston   (09.13.11)
i bet you are following the world media. all the columnis, strategists and serious writers believe that israel is making terrible mistakes in its foreign policy turning its allies into its foes. Turkey was an ally of israel since 1948, and likewise Eygpt was for over 32 years. Also i fail to understand your hatred for the entire nation of Turkey, the same nation that saved the jews from all kinds of .perils, and massacres across Europe in the course of last thousand years. Now, why should they go to hell ? is it the place you are writing from ?
25. TURKISH ASELSAN ?
Mark ,   T.A. israel   (09.13.11)
THE NEWSPAPER STAR IS ERDOGANS PR AGENT AND ASELSAN IS APRIVATE DEFENCE CONTRACTOR WHICH WANTEDTO COPY THE ISRAELS UAV HERON BUT TILL NOW WITH NO SUCCESS !! NOBODY IN THE WORLD CAN COMPETE WITH ISRAELS ELECTRONICS !!ALL YOU READ AND HEAR IS ERDOGANS CHEAP PROPAGANDA DESTINED TO TURKISH PEOPLE TO DIVERT THE ATTENTION FROM HIS INCOMPETANT POLICY AND FAILURES AND MORE>>>>
26. turkey
paulo ,   brazil   (09.13.11)
to 12:" ..only Muslim ally on the planet...". Who believes it ???? But perhaps you are right: Obama!
27. history repeating itself
HM ,   Istanbul   (09.13.11)
It looks like we have got a new HAMAN. This reminds me the reckless war cries of the 3rd Reich intimidating the neighbouring countries Poland, Czech Republic etc. At that time the best Allies Nazis and Soviets suddenly have become enemies. The turkish politicians are too shortsighted believing that the Arabs will welcome them as the Neo-ottomans. However they fail to realize that the only reason they appreciate Turkey is because of the Antisemitic - Anti Israel rhetoric. Erdogan is acting like Abdelnasser, and challenging Israel into a trap. The best thing would be to remain calm and not increasing the tension. By the way, thank you very much Mr. Obama. Thanks to your imcompetence in your office, this madness is turning into a tragedy.
28. #24 Don´t be brainwashed
Yoav ,   Germany   (09.13.11)
The world had changed since 1948 and the Turkey in 1948 is absolutely different today. The Turkey which conluded peace with Israel were more kimalistik/secular. Now the Turkey is rule not by programatic but by the islamo-national moron who treat anyone even Europe (because of Cyprus) who disagree with his policy. We Jews diffend ourselves, we do not treat Turkey to send "peace" people to the area were the Kurdish population live. Turkey was ever impirialistic state. I also wounder why you not saying even a word about the Genocide of Armenian people, which were massacred by Turks etc.etc. etc
29. #4
Istanbuler ,   Istanbul / TR   (09.13.11)
Why worry Joker ? Looking at the present developments , soon it will be clear who can do what. 10 armies with in 6 days, is not the same thing to face Turkish army for 6 months without getting US support.
30. Erdogan.
Philip . ,   Afula, Israel   (09.13.11)
I really think this fellow wants armed conflict with Israel and will do his level best to see that it happens. His way of showing who is the boss in the middle east ?.
