2. PA is ready only for corruption, lies, Jihad & Israelbashing
Little John ,   Nottinghamshire   (09.13.11)
Led by "there was never a Nazi Holocaust" PhD thesis Dr Abbas.
3. Fayyad writes Fantasy Fiction.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.13.11)
Anyone who believes this crap will believe anything, I guess. Here's what's funny. Fayyad spouts a bunch of BS & then the ''experts'' of the ''international community'' & assorted other dimwits nod their heads in agreement like those bobbly-head dolls. Such is the state of political correctness these days that no one dare question anything, even the most obvious falsehoods & misrepresentations. The media just goes along & prints this crap as if it were accurate, too lazy, biased, unprofessional, & uninformed to even raise a contrary question.
4. Newsflah:World not ready for another Terroristan!
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.13.11)
5. This wont solve anything - make it worse
Robert ,   Australia   (09.13.11)
Israel is quite right to oppose this unilateral move. Obviously, when Israel declines to continue to provide support and utilities as it does now - they will cry foul.
6. Abu Mazen & Co are living an illusion!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (09.13.11)
Abu Mazen is counting on Arab/Muslim support. Of course, he will get a pat on the back and roars praise and down with Israel! But will he get money? The Emirs and Sheikhs don't part with millions easily. I they did and were really concerned out Muslim suffering, they would rush to help their own starving, dying masses in Somalia! The Palestinians seem to forget that the pot bellied multi-billionaires of the Arab world hate Hamas even more than Israel does and Abu Mazan' alliance with sub-human bunch of miscreants does his cause more harm than he realizes!
7. no PA = no terrorisem!
remember this:   (09.13.11)
8. The United States of Westbankistan and Gazastan?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.13.11)
The charade of "Palestine" is about to become reality. The club of dictators, sometimes called the UN, will vote in this new "country", which in reality is still a two-headed snake. There is no Palestinian unity. There is no "Palestine" in Gaza, where Hamas still refuses to negotiate with Fatah, let alone with Israel. The Palestinians will turn the charade of "Palestine" into reality, turning fiction into fact. No, there never was a country called "Palestine", and the "Palestinians" never existed - they were simply Arabs. Now that they will have a country, their first order of business is to again reach out their hat for other people to pay their bills. Can the EU, Americans and Japanese continue to thrust billions down the black hole of "Palestine" when their own economies are suffering? In return for all their money, will the donors get stability, economy, and payback? From the Palestinians? Just like "Arab unity" is an oxymoron, "Palestinian stability" is listed too.
9. How much did his swiss bank balance go up?
Rebecca ,   Modiin   (09.13.11)
10. A shame 'The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour' isn't around for
Dave F.   (09.13.11)
11. PA and fantasy
Brod ,   USA   (09.13.11)
PA already has a state called Jordan. They have no right to get a piece of the Land of Israel that is GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED to the Jewish Nation. Furthermore, they know nothing about statehood. All they know is fueling the Middle East cauldron with belligerence, terrorism, thuggery, violence and wars.
12. FACT
the following is ,   ISRAEL   (09.13.11)
the UN “is not going to create a state” and does not resolve the issues of borders, security and “refugees,” U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, said Monday.
13. PA can not even enter half its "state" thus it is ready
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (09.13.11)
How the PA can claim to be ready for statehood by pointing to success "in public financial management, law and order and local governance" when they can not do any of those things in Gaza without getting shot? Their disillusion continues
14. Another Arab "state" that cant support itself
bjl ,   usa   (09.13.11)
is addicted to terror and Jew hatred. That will smuggle 10's of thousands of missiles to rain down on the Israeli plains below. If Israel allows this....they are the guilty of suicide. They have lost this dangerous game because they never asserted JEWISH rights to Judea and Samaria. G-d granted you a great victory in 1967 and you threw it away.
15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Jayjay ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
This is the funniest thing ive heard all day! They have no borders, no economy, no distinct language or culture and no ancestral connection to this land!
16. Is the PA collapse around the corner?
Allen   (09.13.11)
A progress report to int'l donors . ----- Keep giving. We need another few Billions $$. You people can afford it; your out of work citizens will have to dig deeper into their savings in order for us to survive and have a State. Just another 10 years or so. Those idiots who believe in Salam Fayyad are in for a rude awakening with all his " cooked " books. Boy, this is going to be quite a show. We completely forgot Hamas ! ! !
17. Is this a joke ?
Yisrael ,   Jerusalem, ISRAEL   (09.13.11)
What other nation is supported by 'donor nations '? Take away the handouts, and you have instant bankruptcy ! What a great start for a state! And the idiots of the world just lap it up, BUT notice who is doing the supporting : the idiot West ! His fellow Arab brothers just promise money, and then stiff him ! Pathetic !
18. No Shalit-no Palestine-full point
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (09.13.11)
19. Viva La Israel!
Jeff ,   Texas   (09.13.11)
I would be surprised if Barak Obama will veto any resolution in favor of Israel or engage in “war” with a NATO ally. We Americans don’t trust Washington; I would highly recommend that you watch you back Israel! When our government says “Trust us you are safe and secure…” you’re screwed! “For it is only the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob--the God of all our ancestors--who will intervene and bring his glory back to Israel!” Not the USA...
20. #1 David is on a cruise on that great Egyptian river
Haim ,   TA   (09.13.11)
In De Nile ! BTW missed a great party.
21. The world is crazy, nations donating to terrorist scum.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.13.11)
22. Real-life comedy
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (09.13.11)
This will be a persiflage on statehood. As if it wasn't already enough to have performances like the one of Gaddafi or Assad or Mubarak or Hussein or or or...... The Arabs do not shy away from producing more and more of this absurd tragic-comedies and even worst, the world is applauding! And the "extras" are dying on a 'piece work' basis.
23. P.A. declares it's prepared to collect charity forever.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
The P.A. is prepared to do one thing only. Colldct charity forever; or as long as Western suckers keep sending it money. However, U.S. Republicans, and others, are showing signs they're getting tired of the P.A. parasitism. Palestine will remain forever fictional; like Oz and Neverland.
24. #20 Haim. You're in denial. Statehood bid a total fiasco.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
#20 Haim. The simple fact is that the P.A. already declared statehood in 1988. It was an absolute fiasco. Yet conditions were infinitely more favorable for Palestine statehood in 1988 than today. We are about to see another failed Palestine statehood bid. A failure so spectacular the P.A. will look at 1988 as "the good old days". After that, Palestine is toast. Nobody will take it seriously again. Haim, you're in denial.
25. "Palestine" competing with Switzerland!
A ,   Belgium   (09.14.11)
"The report indicates that between 2009 and 2010, the PA's revenue has increased by 21%, crossing the $2 billion mark. " And I won the euromillions lottery FIVE TIMES yesterday! Can I be a state too? Say, pass me that spliff over there...
