The Muslim Brotherhood has an uneasy alliance with the military. The military is the actual ruler of Egypt & they intend to keep it that way. They'll go along with the Muslim Brotherhood up to a certain point, they share many views anyway & the military is full of Islamist sympathizers. Here comes Erdogan. What has Erdogan been doing in Turkey? Putting the military in jail with false accusations. Others have been forced to retire while others have quit in protest. And, Islamists are gradually infiltrating the military. The military junta in Egypt looks at this & the last thing they want is Turkish advice.
