but at what cost? Was there no way to prevent these deaths, horrible deaths. When we bomb Gaza we drop leaflets and make phone calls. Could the Egyptian gov not have warned people in the tunnel what was happening?

When they smelled trouble they should have run. When you drop leaflets on Gaza it is to warn innocent people. These 3 were not innocent. They shouldn't have been there doing what they were doing in the first place. Egypt did the right thing.

Hamas is responsible for the deaths of thier solders in Sinai, blown gas pipelines, arms smuggling on Egyptian territory, a downturn in tourism world wide and subversion on the Cairo streets. I could care less about the human rights of hamas terrorists as they have none about anybody elses.

Source claiming the tunnels were flooded were in gaza. Most likely an accident, blaming Egypt to deflect blame. Gazans hate Egypt. I mean Hamas hates non muslim brotherhood Egypt... Any gazan older than 70 remembers the Egyptian occupation from 1948 (when the Brits withdrew) -1967 (when Israel came) also... Anyway, no one lifts a finger In the Sinai to prevent terror. It took 30 years from the Israeli withdrawal to turn it into a real problem. Gaza and s. Lebannon turned bad even quicker after Israel left. There will never be a withdrawal from the west bank. Even sanctions won't do the trick. Israel is no longer suicidal, they see how the World doesn't give a damn fir Israeli security. Well, so be it --- at least these bunch of Jews in the 21st century can do a damn good job of defending herself. Can drop a missile on a target the size of a needle point anywhere on the damn globe. Happy new year!
