These Holy Books were in Damascus for the use of the Jewish faith, they were secured and preserved by people of faith and were not the property of the Islamist in Syria or the Syrian government. Because of the Islamist these Holy Books had to be smuggled out due to Islamist and their wonton distruction of items of other religions.
