who's side are you on. If this guy means what he says..great!
5. Not asking for money
nathan ,   Israel/USA   (10.09.11)
WE do not need promises of more money, at the moment the United states can little afford to send extra. Not to mention that this will give fuel to those who say that we live on US charity. What we do need is a STRONG AMERICA. One that can back Israel without fear of political fallout. One that will be both willing and ABLE to promote a true justice in the middle east and not the myopic view of justice that has been adopted by the liberal left. The next president MUST bring about a revitalization of America's economic and international political health. The last administration has made of the United States a Geo-Political laughing stock. FDR once said speak softly and carry a big stick. The politically correct delusional left has stripped us of our Big Stick. We do not live in a leftist utopia where western values rule. we live in a world were the amount of respect received is equivalent to one's ability to project strength.
6. There's no shortage of "True believers"
Chris.B ,   Australia   (10.09.11)
in the world of American politics. Let's burn the heretics!!!!! Being a religious nut seems contagious these days. 'Iran is an existential threat to Israel' What a scrpited line from the spin factory where's this guys handler he needs his medication ha ha ha ha
7. For and Against
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (10.09.11)
Hard to tell with Romney. He was for women's rights before he decided they should have no control over their bodies. He was for healthcare before deciding that life is better with 20% of the country unable to see a doctor. So what does he want to do? Up US arms aid from $3 Billion to four? Peachy. How will he pay for it? He won't. Only Democrats have to pay bills. With Republicans, Deficits don't matter.
8. #5 Well-written talkback, but...
A ,   Belgium   (10.09.11)
"FDR once said speak softly and carry a big stick". It wasn't FDR but his cousin who preceeded him as president, Theodore "Teddy" Rooseveldt, who said this. An honest error.
9. So he's kissing babies & Jewish tuches. Big deal!
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.09.11)
10. Nice to have a Mormon for a change!
Mark ,   Jerusalem   (10.09.11)
11. #6 Agree but with conditions
Scott ,   Australia   (10.09.11)
Dont be so sure that Iran isnt an existential threat to Israel. You wont be laughing if it ends up being the case as the consequences will be global.
12. Mormons
sleepstone ,   sweden   (10.09.11)
The mormons prophet J. Smith claimed a small group of jews left Babylon about 600 years bc and fled to Mesoamerica and there blended with the mayaindians. Their decendents he said migrated to what´s now Salt Lake city and are the origin of the mormons. Thats why they are friends of the jews.
13. #7 - US aid to Israel is pocket change
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto   (10.09.11)
The US national debt is $14.8 trillion and the federal deficit is $1.3 trillion. Increasing (or decreasing) aid to Israel by $1 billion would have a negligible impact on the US treasury.
14. he wants to be president so badly , he will tell you whateve
rachel ,   usa   (10.09.11)
whatever you want to hear .
15. nathan#5
Jacob ,   nyc / usa   (10.09.11)
IT was Theodore Roosevelt who said talk lighty and carry a big stick not FDR by the way they were cousins. FDR administration was not very kind to Jews during the period 1933-45 in Europe by the way. Remember the st.louis ship from hamburg germany he sent them back and 900 Jews were gased from that ship in the concentration camps. I'm ISRAEL CHAI LONG LIVE ERETZ ISRAEL
16. #2 you know nothing about Romney
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (10.09.11)
with your ignorant name calling. His support for Israel is long standing and his religion is Christian. He is a prominent businessman, governor, and the only real hope America has of getting our economy turned around. Look up the Herzliya Conference in 2007 for a few particulars on his support of Israel. Considering how many Jews voted for Obama despite all the evidence of his anti-Israel bias criticism of Romney shows something is lacking logically within the Jewish community.
17. Never underestimate
seadog1946 ,   MorrisCanalBasin, NJ   (10.09.11)
a politician's ability to rise/stoop to any level in order to gain election campaign funding and/or a few votes.
18. Only Two Groups in the End Time
Brod ,   USA   (10.09.11)
There are only two groups in the End Time. They are GOD'S Group and the devil's group. To those making a big issue of Romney's religious background, Jesus says, "Thou shalt NOT judge." Matthew 7:1-5. His critics do not have a monopoly on Jesus Christ. Good Mormons too have Faith in Jesus Christ. GOD judges the heart and NOT the outward appearance.
19. 13 - Maybe for you Rich Canadians
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (10.09.11)
You guys have oil, we have debt. Romney's first promise is to take health care away from the working poor and food stamps from them too. And to cut revenues. And he wants to increase spending on Defense, cause of the Canadian Threat. We haven't had a river catch fire since the 60. But with the Romney plans, maybe Lake Ontario can burn along with the Cuyahoga River. So I suppose, if we poison the poor and burn their water supply, we can find a $ billion or two, maybe by raising taxes on those poor.
20. 19 - I'm sure there's a point there somewhere
