These are all important heritage cities as described in the Bible, the New Testament and confirmed in the Koran. Nablus (Neopolis) is the Roman name for Shchem, a city of great importance where the Jew Jacob fought his enemy and is near the Dotan Valley where the Jew Joseph was sold into slavery to Arab traders. Bethlehem is the birth place of the Jew Jesus of Nazareth and where a corrupt King Herod tried to kill Jewish babies. Hebron is the place where the Jews Abraham, Issac and Jacob are buried. Hopefully the UN will confirm the importance of these cities and vomits out anyone who denies the importance.

As Abbas is so obsessed with the UN its probably just a matter of time before he demands his virtual state be made a permament member of the Security Council and a veto. Isn't it time for Obama to put an end to this nonsense and say to the world that the US will veto any resolution backing a palestinian state at the Security Council. Get the non Islamic world to say with a unified voice to Abbas stop playing games and for the west to put Abbas in his place and say negotiate or nothing.
