... it's a cultural superstition. (What did the writer have against palm trees?) The simple solution is for everyone to keep to the right. There's no justification for such signs today; they just discredit Jewish values and tradition.

It's not about modesty. It's about power and control. If the men are so particular about not walking between two women, let them stop, or step aside, or go around. Do they think that they are members of some royal house from feudal times, that the serfs and peons must step aside for them? They only make themselves look ridiculous, and cause a hillul ha-Shem, with such outrageous demands.

the lack of respect for women in certain groups of Jews is bringing Israel closer to the Muslim fanatics- . Women of Israel need to speak up, refuse to obey these primitives, stop being chattels. No housework, no laundry, how about no sex for these Neanderthals? Women DO not sit at the back of the bus, support the family because the 'man' is too busy praying... womens liberation has not reached yet the ME it seems... women are half the population and have zero power-
