1. baloney
Chaim ,   Canada   (10.12.11)
What a pile of baloney these stupid left wing idiots are spewing. When are they going to call for the arrest of the leaders of Hamas for their torture and crimes against the people of Gaza?
2. Amnesty
New Yorker ,   U.S.A.   (10.13.11)
This bunch is out control and lost all sense of proportion and reality.
3. what stupid people. funded by saudi arabia. to bad they can
ralph   (10.12.11)
not be charged for being stupid and ignorant. maybe though for being agents of a foreign government.
4. NO...arrest him, because he called him-
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.12.11)
self a friend of "Abu Mazen" and because he was a fan of the "two" state solution and because he lined out the "road map" and because he spoke as a phoney in front of the Knesset !
5. Bush Arrest
Gene Graczyk ,   Santa Rosa, CA USA   (10.12.11)
While many still defend the excesses of the Bush/Cheney regime, many more want justice to be done. Bush and Cheney not only continue to defend practices clearly acknowledged before and after their rule as torture, they openly praise themselves for it. If not today, somewhere at some time, they will be prosecuted to the cheers of millions.
6. Amnesty flaw
rory ,   Melbourne   (10.13.11)
there was once a member of Amnesty UK participating and encouraging the participation during the Nakhba day Syrian infiltration across the border. Make sure they dont bring their children and grandparents on such occasion.I hope they fired the sucka who propagate such action.Confused 'college' kids out for attention but lack the intuition regarding the value for life.
7. Amnestly INT.are a joke,they are a overblown overrated
Yoav Naor ,   Haifa Israel   (10.13.11)
Nepotistic, and useless organization, don't give them a single cent..............
8. AI and their useless stunts, they get money for nothing...
Yoav Naor ,   Haifa Israel   (10.13.11)
9. Gene's suggestion
Dr Jack ,   Canada   (10.13.11)
My friend (??) Gene. When are you going to request the arrest of Putin, and other Russian leaders for the tens of thousands killed in Chechnya and other parts of Russia?? What about the leaders of China, often visiting Canada, for the imprisonment and torture of miilions of Falun Gong followers?? Or the killings of Tibetans, Uighurs and other non-Han?? Please get off your smelly soap box and look around you, before you open your lips again!!!
10. Kenney already commented on this issue:
Ypip ,   Canada   (10.13.11)
Minister of Immigration blasted the human rights watchdog: "Amnesty International cherry picks cases to publicize based on ideology. This kind of stunt helps explain why so many respected human rights advocates have abandoned Amnesty International."
11. Putin to be arrested first, then Chinese leaders, Bush last
jouko ,   Finland   (10.13.11)
International law should be righteous, so that the worst human rights abuses should be arrested first - not last! Should Bush be arrested, He would be perhaps one of the last as in the States the human rights are among the best in the whole world. Amnesty seems to be controlled by unhonest persons, they should also be arrested by abusing international law.
12. Whom to arrest?
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (10.13.11)
While it is true, that Bush is guilty of crimes against humanity, he hardly has the brain power to have conceptualized the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. What you see as "George Bush", is little more than a puppet, for the true forces behind his presidency. Those who framed the war, planned all of the renditions and torture, should be held equally accountable. The president "George Bush", consists of many more than the man himself. A good place to start is Dick Cheney. A man who enjoys pulling the strings, while hiding in the shadows.
13. arrest a US president?
Hells answer ,   USA   (10.13.11)
Rediculous, Stupid isas studpid does..But you cannot fix stupid
14. Arrest Amnesty operatives
H ,   Iowa   (10.13.11)
for aiding and abetting terrorism.
15. Miss him yet?
BH ,   Iowa   (10.13.11)
Guess Bush wasn't so bad after all.... compared to the Quisling we have now.
16. At least the SOB must look over his shoulder like a crimial
Johan Odin   (10.13.11)
He should be arrested, he and his cronies caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, and if that is not make him a war criminal, what does.
17. Not Surprising
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (10.13.11)
Cheney cannot travel outside the US. And now it appears that Bush will have the same restrictions on him. Given what both acknowledge happened and what they acknowledge they personally authorized, this was inevitable. The chances that the current Canadian gov would act are slim. But elsewhere, travel might be problematic. Cheney already had trouble with an African country and a bribery conviction.
18. #5And as soon as they are charged, the black idiot now OCCUP
YING the WH, will ,   by lylnched as well!   (10.13.11)
19. A.I. Canada
RK ,   US   (10.13.11)
If stupidity were illegal, all of Am. Intl. Canada would be behind bars.
20. Alex Neve
David ,   Montreal, Canada   (10.13.11)
The tiresome twaddle of Alex Neve, an egregious self promoter and shameless publicity hound, will of course rightly be ignored by Canadian authorities. Alex Neve's opinion on any legal matter is utterly worthless since he holds no license to practice law and is not a lawyer.
21. Idiots, do they have one for syrian killer basher assad? NO!
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.13.11)
22. Isn't 'amnesty' the opposite of 'arrest'?
Shaul R   (10.13.11)
23. Amnesty
Joe ,   NYC   (10.13.11)
Look: if amnesty is really serious, they would immediately initiate action to impeach Obama for murdering a US citizen (Al-awlaki). Personally i am grateful that this scumbag is dead, but for Amnesty left-wingers to prove that they are not politically motivated they MUST address this issue immediately. But we all know: THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!
24. #5; Gene, WAKE UP TO REALITY
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (10.13.11)
The problem with your rather silly post, is this, you haven't the slightest idea how many lives were saved. The President's primary responsibility is to protect us, the people in the USA, get it! Why is it the all the ultra-liberals want to die? We don't live in a perfect world, I too wish we did, sadly that's not the case. What Bush did was protect our country, so get off your high horse. As with any dangerous situation sometimes drastic measures must be taken, live with it, or die.
25. What about Ahmedinejad?
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (10.13.11)
In his country gays are hung to death in the streets of Teheran, only a few days ago a university student received 90 lashes in his back for raising his opinion against him. And yet amnesty does not do anything for a dictator like Ahmedinejad. Does Amnesty ever think about the rights of the 9/11 victims' families?
26. Amnesty Int.
Kate ,   Vancouver BC   (10.13.11)
If Amnesty Int. thinks they can tell Canada what to do they are very much mistaken. Here's a thought AI. Go arrest Ahmadinejad for his government's torture of an actress with debilitating and disfiguring lashes because they didn't like her movie. How about arresting Obama for dropping Drone bombs on innocent civilians in Pakistan? Oh wait, arrest Hamas for firing rockets on Israeli citizens. Better yet, go tell Soros you need more funding because sane people are not going to support you anymore and I am sure you wouldn't want to do without your nice fat paycheck.
27. AI is a joke
Ron ,   oc, us   (10.13.11)
I won't give them a penny. They wanted the US to cut off Israeli arms after cast lead and still do. Little or nothing about the 8,000 rockets and Shalit. Even if they said a few words over the years so what. They know the implications of cutting of arms to Israel as China, Russia, Iran and even the US arm the Arabs to the teeth. Screw AI. George Bush had the right idea on how to treat terrorists. He should be rewarded.
28. #5 A problem
Phil ,   Ireland   (10.13.11)
The one sided attempt by Amnesty to have George Bush arrested for torture reeks of political bias. Why have they not called for the arrest of Ahmadineejit or the leaders of Hamas or Hezbollah or Saudi or...etc? They want Bush arrested? No problem. But show some balance and call for the arrests of all who allegedly torture.
29. problem of todays world is.....
tiki ,   belgium   (10.13.11)
Idiots don't die, they only multiply & because of social media, they're allowed to spread & share their 'wisdom. Their collective mantra is..."sue them". Each one of these humanistic 'worldchangers' pretends to be the proscecuter, judge & jurer of every leader or private person which whom they disagree.
30. Lefty wankers still fussing about Bush?
Cameron ,   USA   (10.13.11)
Talk about a broken record.
