1. Islam saved the jews
Hameed ,   Tunis, Tunisia   (10.25.11)
Under Islam jews survived and flourished, jews as the people of the book, were zhimis who enjoyed unprecendant freedom under sharia law compared to persecution and genocide in christian societies Jews in Tunisia have nothing to fear as long as they are loyal citizens and have no association with zionism and most are anti-zionists and regard israel as an abomination to true judaism
2. Arab "Spring" = Islamism via "democracy". Mentality lacking.

Oh Shawkran Ketir for allowing us to live as second class citizens: Dhimmi. By the way, study your history....Jews have suffered under Islamic Rule as well as Christian Rule. Your prophet, Mohammad killed thousands who wouldn't convert.... Read Koran, the bood of peace....It tells the story bro.
4. #1 Get ready for the brain drain
Logic ,   Israel   (10.25.11)
You are right that Jews suffered genocide in Christian societies, but life in the Muslim societies has always been a degrading, second-class citizen existence. Where you are mistaken is that anyone with love for modern life, Muslim and Jew alike, will flee your country to greener pastures if your policies are implemented.

Your comment contradicts the man Camus a Tunisian Jew who said "We always want to make aliyah, it's nothing news, we need to make aliyah and we may do so in the near future God willing". If he is not a Zionist I don't know who is. Plus what if a Tunisian goes to Israel is he/she has relatives or is pro-Israel? Their lives in instant danger. Now that is not a democracy.
6. #1 Thanks for being honest
Stan ,   USA   (10.25.11)
You've done a lot to remind us all it's ok to be Jewish around Muslims, but only as long as you are dhimmi. Sorry to burst your bubble, but we left your attitude in the middle ages where it belongs and you can't maltreat us if we don't follow your rules anymore.

solomon ,   bklyn   (10.25.11)
Your post begins on a positive note, giving hope that you mean what you say. This hope is then dashed as you reveal your prejudice, thinking that Israel is an abomination to true Judaism. You obviously have no inkling of what constitutes "true Judaism" of which Israel is an integral part. Your post shows that Jews can stay as long as they do as you tell them. This is a far cry from the honorable behavior of your ancestors. Thank you for revealing your true sentiments.
8. well done tunisia
jacob ,   Turkey, Istanbul   (10.26.11)
This a true example of the democratic country. I am sure Tunisia will prosper in terms of economy if they support Jews. Country will earn from many ways in terms of spiritually a economically.
9. #1 Your warped sense of history and your lies
I don't buy   (10.26.11)
The benevolence of Islam and its adherents towards Jews in Tunisia (and/or in any other Muslim country for that matter) is just ever so great and laudable according to your moronic delusions. This is clearly is reflected by the fact that the Tunisian Jewish population precipitously declined by 98% from 1948 to the present. The ungrateful Jews must have fled Tunisia because they were too much beloved, had too much freedom and just had it too good in general...they must have been real idiots to flee from your terrestrial paradise.... Hameed, you and your nauseating ilk of "qalbs-bin-qalbs" should post their drivel elsewhere. You are a self-deluded moronic liar... Try to redeem Tunisia's crimes against Jews by not harming the 2% remnant who is still there today...BTW, did Israel or Zionism ever harm Tunisia? If not, then why such hatred and militancy by Tunisian Muslims towards them?

11. Islam saved the Jews?
Hesh ,   USA   (10.26.11)
What drugs are you on. Muslims have done notheing but persecute Jews since Muhammed. Oh and by7 the way Zionism =Judaism. They are one and the same!
12. Islam Protects Jews
Nathan ,   Sydney, Australia   (11.13.11)
From a historical perspective, Jews have often flourished under Islamic societies. There are, of course, exceptions, such as a few moments in Spain for example. But it is a big mistake to confuse anti-Zionism with racism against Jews. It is like saying criticism of China's totalitarian society is racism against Chinese. And maybe emigration from Tunisia (and many other Middle Eastern countries) in 1948 is because many went to Israel - not necessarily because they were persecuted in their home countries.
