Jewish religion demands circumcision but religion is in retreat as an irrelevant relic. I have no statistics, but believe parents still agree to circumcise their sons for health reasons and avoid the religious ritual. Most of the parent in Europe and America probably no longer opt for the circumcision at all. Get on with the modern times and end promoting circumcision. Jewishness is in the upper head, the one that holds the soul and culture.

Frankly, I cannot understand these initiatives against circumcision. I will not go into the religious aspects of the matter; it is more than enough to remember that the decision to circumcise a newborn is entirely related to the sphere of the private life of every citizen and to his/her right to freedom of religion. No one, I repeat, no one has the right to tell me or anybody else whether it is right or wrong to circumcise a son. Meddling into other people's private life, this is the real barbarian custom!

"liberals" think circumcision is child abuse, but abortion somehow isn't. But truly, there is no requirement to circumcise your child if you don't want to. There should be no law against it either. It's called freedom of choice, and freedom to practice your religion.

The Christians in all of Europe and parts of Asia have tried with huge effort from time immemorial to rid the world of Jews. The histories of Spain, England, Germany, France and Russia, to name just a few, are rife with dark histories in this regard. It boggles the mind to think how this ancient nation of Jews managed to survive when so many other nations have simply vanished without trace. How could this ancient people scattered so thinly around the world resist their ultimate erasure? How could a Jew in distant Asia feel what is virtually an organic kinship with a Jew in Alabama? Circumcision is Gods first covenant with the Jews. To eliminate circumcision is to deny this covenant and thus undermine everything cohesive in a Jewish identity. Well, the reality is a bit diffferent. For example: thousands of young Israelis applied for and received a German passport in the last few years (is also true for other EU countries) and only in 2010 there were 140.000 Israelis visiting Berlin, mainly as tourists. About 10.000 (mainly young) Isarelis live in Berlin with a permanent residence. Obviously there are other important things in people's lifes than circumcision laws...
