If you pressure and sanction a country, it rallies to it's leaders, pointing their angry fingers at the US. If you want to westernise a country, make them envious and offer them western goods instead of western bombs

Where did you get this nonsense about the U.S. fighting the Iraq war for Israel? Ariel Sharon himself warned George Bush that attacking Iraq would come back to bite us and would strengthen Iran's influence in the region...so there's no way that war was fought for Israel whose government has always maintained that the greater threat was from Iran. And, as far as 9/11 is concerned, Bin Laden himself said it was because there were U.S. troops stationed in Saudi Arabia and we were also propping up the royal family. He only added some bullshit about the Palestinians as an afterthought knowing it would get the Arab street all worked up.

Given Illinois voting patterns and the make up of the state, Illinois will always be a swing state. With Emanuel in charge in Chicago instead of Daley, the state is still 50-50 pick'em. It isn't 1960 anymore and Richey was never Richard J. How goes Skokie and Evanston will not determine how the Quad Cities and Rockford vote. Waukegan will not be a predictor for Wauconda. Politics are local. And who wins in Peoria will not predict who wins in Decatur.

Ron Paul is not against Israel, nor has he ever been. he says that Israel should run their country how they see fit. All he is saying is that we as the USA need to not get into war so hastily .Don't listen to the wartalk of the neoconservatives!
