31. This duo are endangering every single jew!
Dodger   (11.07.11)
With Iranians now living all over the world any attack on Ian from Israel will make jews a target of retaliation eveywhere in the world. DO these guys care about this at all?
32. @25

Goran, we're saying that we don't believe support of the USA and Germany will make any difference, because we don't trust them to protect us. We believe they'll throw us under the bus for their own interests. So - frankly, we don't see what we've lost if the USA and Germany don't support us, if their support ends up with us in another death trap.
33. #29 - Keep muttering Uri - from Ph.D. - Fulbrighter - etc.
B.E. ,   Whangarei, NZ   (11.08.11)
Because we can be Outstanding Educators in America, and you can't , and we don't embrace leftist humanist rubbish, we are ignorant haters????
34. 1/2 right: barak IS a complete & satisfied fool!
rick ,   walnut creek   (11.08.11)
Netanyahu has his weaknesses but, over all, is not a bad PM and, certainly, better than any likely replacement. if barak, on the other hand, managed to get something right, it would be by accident. has he gotten anything right since he left the IDF? (answer: not anything that comes to mind.) let him spend time perusing his travel brochures and car catalogs. just keep him away from business.
35. #29 "ignorant uneducated haters"
Tahl   (11.08.11)
I have not seen here any real hate, only legitimate criticism. After all, this is an opinion piece. Namecalling those who disagree with you will not advance your credibility, but rather, underscore your weakness.
36. the most brilliant article ever
mohammad mourad ,   cairo , Egypt   (11.08.11)
well Professor Uri Bar-Yosef , was completely neutral and criticized both of them in a very brilliant way , to make it clear to the readers that a choice of war would only set the whole region on fire , as an Egyptian I would say we fought for peace and we died for peace but there was nothing compared to achieving a peace treaty in a peaceful conference in camp David , what the professor made clear is that they don't understand and don't value the greatness of this peace but all what they want is to be great leaders while they don't have any qualifications for that
37. FUNCTIONAL Zionism: PRONOUNCEABLE spelling ESSENTIAL too!!
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (11.08.11)
38. For Uri Bar-Yosef 2011/11/09
Judah N. Wenkel ,   Helsingborg, Sweden   (11.09.11)
So what about General Barak`s record as an officer in Zahal / Sayaret Matkal ? -Was he, in your enlightened opinion, as much of a failure as a military man, as he was when entering politics ? What about General Arik Sharon ? Perhaps YOU prefer Shimon Peres at the helm ? You, Mr. are a meshugga ... :/ -and a defeatist !
39. simple, but not easy
Alan Eisenberg ,   North Bergen, NJ   (11.10.11)
It all comes down to whether you believe that when Iran gets the bomb, they will use it on Israel. I think the probability is 99.99% yes. And I believe that all other countries, including the US, couldn't care less if Iran nuked Israel. Now, what options were you saying are available for Israel?
