The National Insurance agency (Bitual Leumi) pays for all of the funerals in Israel - for every citizen. Therefore the Israeli taxpayer will not be paying anything more for Mr. Ben Artzi's funeral than for anyone else.

Your comment that "the truth is oft times ugly" is a compleat non sequitur, and darn sophomoric. A son of Israel has died. Family who loved him are mourning. Be graceful.

what are you all belly aching about? I recognize many of your names as the very same ones who quickly rush out make inappropriate comments when a left winger dies. Dear Sara, Bibi, and the boys, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear father and grandpa. Shmuel seemed like a beautiful, sensitive, talented, and thoughtful person and I know he will be dearly missed. May he rest peacefully in the loving arms of God for all eternity.
