He looks like a womanly Mati Hari...but just uglier...
5. ElBaradei
Paul Klein ,   N. Wales, USA   (11.09.11)
The entire IAEA agency is dishonest. How could they place one person (Egyptian Muslim) pro Iran in charge of such an important agency? Its like asking a Nazi official to document Holocaust. There is no justice in UN. They should dismantle the entire organization.
6. Indeed he is despicable of the worst kind
john   (11.09.11)
History must judge and hound him for endangering humanity with nuclear program at the hands of Iran's rapid dogs.ElBaradei must see no rest, for he is responsible for placing the whole world in danger.
7. UN always supported him
rebecca ,   Modiin   (11.09.11)
We all knew what ElBaradei was doing, but his employers, the UN, chose to turn a blind eye. ElBaradei was always going to leave at some stage, but the UN will keep supporting terror.
8. ElBaradei is Obama's choice to rule Egypt.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (11.09.11)
Clearly, Obama has an agenda to impose Islamic supremicism throughout the world by empowering Islam and diminishing the USA. He is determined to ruin America by forcing European-style socialism as he dismantles capitalism. That socialism has left the European countries in a ruinous heap with its massive and burdensome social expenditures and the equally massive borrowing to get the funds for it - economies where expenditure outstrip income by far, with nothing in place to repay the massive loans. The USA, through the NIE, is also hugely culpable in giving crucial time to Iran to develop its atomic weaponry (under Bush's watch). So indeed, Iran got assistance from many quarters for its atomic weapons project. It got time, opportunity and concealment from ElBaredei and the US; more time yet, from ineffective sanctions, while the clock ticked away; expertise and training from Russia, Pakistan and North Korea. Everyone turned a blind eye or simply prattled while the project advanced and it will continue in this vein even as they stock up on their newly manufactured atomic bombs. Maybe there is deliberate collusion all around to ensure that Iran gets the bomb. It certainly appears so.
9. the news treats iran is developing nukes weapons
jerome ,   basalt   (11.09.11)
is a huge surprise. the iranians are lying! wow how about that! who would have ever thought that?!?!
10. ElBareidi has long been suspected of supporting Islam!
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (11.09.11)
An article that was posted back in 2009 explored the possibility that Elbareidi was a practicing Muslim and was covertly supporting Iran's production of nuclear weapons. ourchangingglobe dot com/is-muhamad-elbaradei-a-practicing-muslim Replace the word dot with a . and remove the two spaces. And many big names supported the supposition.
11. We all knew THAT!
Talula ,   Israel   (11.09.11)
He HATES Israel - besides, who lets an Arab from a hostile country towards Israel, become head of the IAEA? There are so many Morons in charge, it's not funny anymore. He IS despicable and VILE.
12. Israeli officials: ElBaradei an Iranian agent
yoav ,   Israel   (11.09.11)
Seriously! I thought the current report was written based on our intelligence information; Where was our intelligence during his term? We are attacking him because he is an Arab and a Muslim. How could he single handed hide all this? Nonsense! We should stop believing those officials who want to find an escape goat and lash at someone and drag us to war with everyone. Is there anyone that we dont hate?
13. Israel is on the edge of a precipice.
John Prophet   (11.09.11)
Israel has been watching this develop for years. Israel watched all the weapons being smuggled in Lebanon and Gaza, and did nearly nothing to stop it. Israel watched Iran furiously working to build atomics and did not do nearly enough to stop it; all the while hearing Iran and its proxy armies screaming death to Israel. Israel watched here citizens being terrorized by thousands of missiles being launch into her cities and has not done nearly enough to stop it. Israel is watching the whole Middle East being morphed into an Islamic Caliphate and is doing nothing. Israel has shown the evil stalking her that she is hesitant and that her leaders are weak. Now, Israel is on the edge of a precipice. If she continues to do nothing, the forces against her will only pile up and sooner or later crush her. If Israel acts now, there is no knowing if she’ll win, but more delay only makes her enemies stronger. Israel should have dealt with this situation years ago when her enemies were weaker. Quite frankly Israel, it’s better to go down fighting than drown in the inevitable Islamic tsunami.
14. El Baradei...Surprise Surprise?
Tim ,   Brighton   (11.09.11)
And its to see that pathetic 'Has Been' trying to whip up Anti Israel and Anti Jewish sentiment in Egypt to further his political ambitions The real question though is this...Is it as was suggested many many times over the years that while in the IAEA that El Baradei recieved a generous stipend and retainer from Ahmadinejad? Indeed there have been many questions recently in Egyptian political circles as to how and where El Baradei magically aquired so much wealth..
15. Candidate for Nobel Peace Prize...
Steven Gilbert ,   Teaneck   (11.09.11)
If you can give it to Obama in view of his massive accomplishments along with his willful neglect (of course he's not the only one) of Iran's nuke ambitions and the threat to the West (not just Israel), then why not El Baradei? How long before there'll Iranian nuke-tipped missiles in Venezuela??
16. Blame El Baradei? This is pure bull!
Steven Gilbert ,   Teaneck   (11.09.11)
And were El Baradei to have been outed earlier what would the West have done? Answ: NOTHING. This blame game is just cover for Western governments that have kicked the can down the road. Same cowardly behavior that gave rise to the financial mess we find ourselves in. This can only end ugly; no one has the courage to act.
17. Indite Baradei : Crimes against humanity
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (11.09.11)
I said it before and repeat now. Why does Israel not bother to take this man to the ICC? Evidence in hearings will expose the evil forces who conspire to wipe out the State of Israel and finish off the Jews We should canvass for a case Elie Wiesenthal? Alan Deeschewitz? Nat Lewin?
18. Bloggers have been reporting this for years

For some this is no new revelation.

It was clear he worked for Iran.
21. #10. ElBaredei belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (11.09.11)
That was AGAIN prominently highlighted in the media when Obama sneakily proposed him for Egypt during the fall of Mubarak. It was given such prominence that Obama had to shut up. He has never publicly pronounced on it since then. That is yet another telling sign of Obama's true intent to install the MB in ME countries in the interest of expansionist Islam. Obama deceptively projects them as "moderates" even though they have a plan to destroy the US "from within". Obama would like to do business with them - despite the US security services getting their hands on their handbook with all the details of their plans, during a raid. Meanwhile, ElBaredei was removed from the MB front-line because the Egyptians themselves rejected him for their own reasons. In a nutshell, he was considered a bourgeois Islamist who spent little time in his native country. Of course Israeli intelligence always knew this...and much more too. But Israel has always had to walk on a tight-rope because Israel's neighbours would love to smother Israel. If western nations refuse to take action it cannot be incumbent on Israel alone to take unilateral action when, at the end of the day it might get no support from the very nations that would benefit. It is left to be seen at what point Israel will be forced to say enough is enough and act.
22. Not an agent, just an enabler
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (11.09.11)
El Baradei wasn't an agent, in the sense that he worked for them or followed their directives. But he did, without doubt, serve to cover up and minimize Iranian activities only now becoming public. He had his own agenda: avoiding at all cost conflict with Iran. So he ran a grand game of "let's pretend". Only months after his departure, new IAEA head Amano began raising concerns that El Baradei had ignored based on the *same intel*. So yes, he was protecting Iran.
23. All I can say about Baradei
Moragh   (11.09.11)
is that his guilt has always shown on his face. I knew just by looking at him (pictures) that he was nothing short of being a slime-ball! I never trusted that pig but my remarks to YNetNews never did see the light of day. The other (and I'm just going by newspaper or computer pictures of him) is Anat, somebody or other who was President of the "gossip-clatchers"of the UN. Today's moon-man (I believe) comes into the same category! When I think about it, all I can do is lol, lol, lol! Well Israel, it is not too late to go after Baradei, but to me it looks like he has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana skin!
24. Sooooo obvious

western membership with its built in muslim majority. Yet the hapless western countries are only too delighted to remain and prop up that fetid organisation rather than form their own to look after their own interests.
30. Isn't he running for president in Egypt?
