1. So Dennis Ross pulls the 'its not me, its my wife card'...
Udi ,   Haifa   (11.11.11)
2. Iran WILL have nukes
bung ,   detroit   (11.11.11)
If it isn't clear in anyones mind by now that Iran will have nuke and the US cannot and will not do anything about it, that individual should go out back of his house and set snares for mosquitoes. Iran has always known that Israel or the US is not going to take on Russia OR China to get to Iran. Game over. The only ones now to worry foremost will be Israel, and eventually the rest of the entire planet.
3. To build Nukes, or not to build Nukes, that is the question
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (11.11.11)
...bombing Iran will ensure that the Iranians do build Nukes.
4. like oh my gawd!! big surprise
Jerome ,   Basalt,Colorado USA   (11.11.11)
the brain dead inept white house say it is alarming that the IAEA reports on irans nuke program. all this time they thought it was just for energy!? what a complete shock! the U.S. should leave Iraq, leave Afghanistan and take the head of the slimy snake off then the U.S. military can go home.
5. Coming in a container to a port near you,
Stephen in New York   (11.11.11)
Law of Unintended Consequences is indeed inconvenient, but doing nothing is doing something, just doing the wrong thing. An Iranian nuclear device will inevitably come by proxy delivered in a shipping container. Are you prepared for that?
6. Same ole Same ole hit me I am feeling lucky
reza shah ,   tehran   (11.11.11)
the american are not sure the british will jump any way they been asked the french feel the loss due to the lies. They could have lucrative deals with Iran to build Fourth generation nuclear reactors like the one Areva doing in Finland @1500MW and earn billions of dollars but no they follow the black sheep herd USA and lost all the business to russia
7. unintended consequences
Mark ,   US   (11.11.11)
The only unintended consequences I can think of are if Iran continues to get a free pass to continue it's drive to take over the MEast and probably, ultimately confront the US in the future, to continue to sponsor terror against the West and US, to probably supply a nuke or dirty bomb to a surrogate and take out an Israeli city or perhaps the country. Yes, Leon, one should think carefully about consequences.
8. Will Shimon P's New M.E. become alarmed too?!?
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.11.11)
9. "Very alarming", but we still won't lift a finger until...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.11.11)
we're hit with a new nuclear 9/11.
10. Iran
Roxy ,   israel   (11.11.11)
If you still want sanctions then it them were it will hurt most a worldwide ban on Iranian oil import/refining. If they have no oil money coming in no money for nukes!
11. Harsher sanctions ?LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (11.11.11)
IT IS FAR FAR TOO LATE FOR SANCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12. Panetta is fearful of a third grade army
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (11.11.11)
under the command of illiterates... He should immediately resign from his post !!!!!!
13. Iranian financiers of terrorism
louis ,   modiin israel   (11.11.11)
When I think of Saddam Hussein, Bin Laden, Khaddafi and many Taliban leaders six feet under I get butterflies in my stomach. A two pronged strike against Iran is long overdue: target the vast array of nuclear sites and Iranian government leadership. Goal: destabilizing the greatest world financier of terror still around.
14. Since when do sanctions work???
Steven Gilbert ,   Teaneck   (11.11.11)
15. Alarming? Where have you been?
James ,   Raleigh US   (11.11.11)
Another example of our out of touch president. There was nothing alarming about it. It was a watered down version of what we, the general public, already knew.
16. Everyone talking/acting foolish vs Iran
Joe ,   Canada   (11.11.11)
Western calls to Iran to behave like a member of the nations when its leaders are criminals with the blood on their hands of many of their own citizens & many NATO soldiers in Irak, Afghanistan & civilians in several countries either murdered by their thugs directly or via proxies, The Russians & the Chinese have the hutzpah to criticize the planed new UN sanctions as ineffective when they are the main culprits in rendering them impossible to fully apply even those already sanctioned by the UN. These politicians are all deceiving us with senseless statements to hide their own self interest & their indifference to the increasingly grave danger born by the countries like Israel who are geographically close to Iran. They leave it to their successors the task to deal in the longer term with a more powerful, more arrogant Iran & a Middle East possibly embarked in an arms race to counter Iran. Kicking the can down the road of foreign policy not to upset the home front of the electors. And hoping that an Iranian Spring will happen before it is too late.
17. Very Alarming? To whom? No one will lift a finger.
Israeli 2   (11.11.11)
18. Obama is alarming
Leon Zacharowicz MD ,   New York USA   (11.11.11)
What is very alarming is Obama's refusal to confront Iran before it's too late, and his preference to enable the radical mullahs and ayatollahs to get hold of nuclear weapons which they can use to destroy American and European cities or blackmail any country into submission.
19. Of course Dennis Ross is leaving...
ex-frummie ,   johannesburg S.A   (11.11.11)
He realized he was working for an anti-semite who through deliberate inaction is causing a potential third world war to break out. I cannot believe what has happened to the quality of American leadership of late. These buffoons should be tarred and feathered and thrown out of office, an office which they do not deserve to serve in.
20. To: Dr. Zacharowicz
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.11.11)
Isn't the world lucky that Israel isn't falling for the standard goyische rhetoric? We'll save civilization from extinction, and no one will thank us. Standard operating procedure. We're used to it, but we'll do it anyway. One day we won't, and everyone will disappear. Except us. Well, someone intelligent has to write the history.
21. # 20 You are deluded?
Robert ,   Australia   (11.11.11)
Save civilization? Dream on. You are likely to achieve the opposite.
22. Ahmadinejad DEFIES all logic
Tim ,   Brighton   (11.11.11)
Is MAD - AhMADinejads his middle name? If as he constantly claims he has NO intention to build a nuclear bomb whats with all the fantastic squandering of billions on nuclear research and military when millions of Iranians see NO benefits from oil revenues and MOST Iranians are still classed as POOR! And when these very POOR see THOUSANDS of corrupt RGs and politicians amass vast wealth at their expense And with Ahmadinejad HIMSELF goading and taunting the world, threatening her neighboours WILLING for them to attack so that he can get Iranians to fight and die for HIS Holy War, all this time the Dithering Duo China Russia seemingly indifferent to the catastrophic affects on a regional war on THEIR economies - simply seeing the Iran issue as a 'pawn' in some warped game of West East grandstanding
23. To: No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.11.11)
No, I am not deluded. What do you think would have happened had Saddam Hussein been allowed to become a nuclear power? Remember the Gulf War? We put an end to Saddam's nuclear dreams, though, didn't we? Take a look at what is going on in Syria. Israel put an end to Syria's nuclear dreams, too, didn't we? Imagine what would be happening now, had we not bothered. You're on your own, now. Go back to massacring Aborigines by the millions. That's what you're good at. Not to mention what happened to all those tens of thousands of South Timorese civilians that died because Australia gleefully jumped into the fray. I guess you're good at that, too. You are sorely in need of an education.
24. Iranian nukes the single greatest threat to the world ever!!
louis ,   modiin israel   (11.11.11)
In my opinion it appears to be inevitable that Iran will be attacked. The only question is which nations will join Israel in the attack. To imagine a scenario where Muslim religious fanatics have access to the most deadly weapon in the world is unthinkable. Just like they "shared" one of their most up to date anti-ship missles with hizbullah during the second lebanon war why should they deny them a nuclear bomb?
25. Nahh . . Ya' think ? ?
emanon ,   USA   (11.11.11)
26. SOUNDS ALARMING BECAUSE
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (11.11.11)
It was on your prompting that the Japanese agent of yours wrote what was written. Why does it cause alarm now?
27. PRESENT USA ADMINISTRATION
SJOERD RUURD VDV ,   MULTIVERSE   (11.12.11)
THE PRESENT US ADMINISTRATION SHOULD BE ALARMED BY THE REMARKABLE SITUATION WITHIN THE USA TERRITORY ITSELF AND BY THE SITUATION OF IT''S OWN AMERICAN PEOPLE.
28. #26 The White house shouldn't be...
Chris.B ,   Australia   (11.12.11)
alarmed they are the ones who made the false information up and their friends from Mossad. The truth is the IAEA is not an intelligence gathering agency so this bogus information is fed to them by the the US and Israeli sources none of which is true. Seems like a desperate bid to draw attention away for the Palestinian UN bid to me.
29. #24
Jupter   (11.12.11)
I got a rat hole I can rent you to hide out the war!!!!!!!
