In July of 2011, a huge explosion rocked and destroyed a military base in Cyprus. The culprit? Intercepted Iranian munitions which were being stored. Apparently the shelf life of the munitions isn't too good. This had nothing to do with Israel - it's just dumb luck coincidence that the timing happened to coincide.

there is another explanation: the blast was heard 45 km away in tehran suburb. This means the explosion has to be particulary strong.
