I had to laugh at that one. There is also no way Peres would pardon the man especially considering he is not a palestinian terrorist and they are the only people Peres ever pardons. Don't worry ladies Katsav will be in jail for a long time and best of all he promises he won't kill himself.

I would ignore this petition only because it was signed by Hanin Zoabi, a Jew-hater and enemy of Israel. Another reason to keep Katzav out of prison or to release him as soon as possible is the fact that only recently Peres pardonned 1000 murderers, while Katzav's guilt is based only on the woman's testimonies, not on the facts. Many people don't believe that he actually raped.

Is it just a coincidence, but all these sympathetic writers are men. Defending a rapist by denigrating the victim.

Yes or no: Did Peres pardon Samir Kuntar who smashed the head of 4 year old Einat Haran or Mona Awana who shot 16 year old Ofir Rahum 28 times in the face? Please answer: do you find these murders less horrible than the crimes that Katzav is accused of?

This whole Rape case against Katsav makes a mockery of the problems women go thru in the work place, in the army etc. The witnesses were, as far as we could see, weak, the case was politically motivated, and the trial etc a farce. Women who are sexually harassed at work deserve more.
