1. How terrible!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.27.11)
This is so frightening. If I read about it in some large city in the USA or Europe I wouldn't be surprised, but it is truly painful to see it happening here too now.
2. The case for legalization
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (11.27.11)
Legalize marijuana! Just the concept drives most towards rejection. I can see the responses already: "It will only encourage more problems!", or something to that effect. I agree, that legalization is not a perfect "fix". But,..... Legalization will take the money out of the hands of criminals. Legalization will take money away from terrorists. Law enforcement doesn't work, and that is not in question. Just look at Mexico. In countries, where it is decriminalized, such as Spain and the Netherlands, have some of the lowest rates of consumption. Decriminalization represents the lesser of the evils.
3. Organized Crime from Israel sells drugs to a world of teens.
Josh   (11.27.11)
Israel needs to clean up these messes and stop letting people launder money through the state. It is making a mess and a bad name for Israelis worldwide. Worse it is oppressing Jews in their very homeland. This is not an isolate case, is it? The cops are not doing their job and some are likely in need of being investigated. The parents had to protect the witness, not the cops.

6. A "shonda"
Dennis ,   NJ USA   (11.27.11)
The fact that the POLICE have taken part in this decision to send her abroad for her own saftey is a testament to a huge failure by the Israeli police to protect its citizens. Unbelievable. The crooks strut around like peacocks doing their business as usual, and the public is forced to cower abroad.. Anyone agree?
7. Drug dealing is similar to an act of
jason white ,   afula, israel   (11.27.11)
terrorism. Innocent people are hurt. We need to have a law that when a person is convicted of selling drugs, then his or her immediate family members are forced by the government to take the same drugs till they too are addicted. Let the dealers see how the lives of their family members are ruined, just like they ruined others. We also need to get the higher ups in the chain of drug dealing and execute them. Confiscate all their money and property to pay for a war on drug dealing.
8. Drug legalization is dangerous, costly & stupid !
Moshe ,   Usa   (11.27.11)
And it is anti-Israeli. It says in the Torah that H-Shem instructed the Cohanim not to take strong drink. That was a warning.
