31. Uri #19 but it is against international law
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.28.11)
Funding terrorists is an international crime and the leftists in the government need to be behind bars and get somebody with some real brains in charge.
32. Eaglebeak/25
Mike S ,   Phoenix, USA   (11.28.11)
Uri is right, it is still stealing regardless where you think that money should be spent. Maybe you need to look into the mechanism of how these revenues are formed and collected.
33. There's serious misunderstanding .
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.28.11)
guys, it IS OUR money. The money is part of the tax collected on Palestinian territory. "Israel" collects customs, border and some income taxes on behalf of the Palestinians , under the Paris economic protocol signed in 1995. @ wake up and smell whatever. hahaha Ynet!
34. #30 lol FISHWIFE
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.28.11)
Made My Day-Thank You Lio for The Comment.
35. TO SARAH - IGNORANCE AT IT BEST
JOYCE ,   JERUSALEM   (11.28.11)
You've really disappointed your fans with these comments. Note that until Isreal ceases to do the AGENCY job, the Pals will continue to hold Isreal for their money. Isreal will have to refund it whether it likes it or not. The only thing Isreal can do is to put up some form of arrogance, which is the mark of identity, but apart from that they can't seizes the funds or can you cite an instance. NO. By the way when is the STRIKE on Iran coming on since the DRILLS has ended, it is about time the MEN are separated from the BOYS.
36. Time to get rid of Netenyahu
Enough! ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
37. If Israel does decide to transfer the funds
William ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
do so in nothing but agorot and dump it on their doorstep in Ramallah.
38. Foreign leaders have urged Israel to reinstate the funds tra
A ,   Belgium   (11.28.11)
If world leaders are so concerned about the "palestinians" , let them donate the money themselves. They don't have to worry about rockets falling on their empty heads as a result of their "investment".
39. #32 - not true
William ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
Withholding taxes is not stealing as the money is sent to the PA per agreement ONLY and not because the "Palestinians" are sovereign. Legally, "Palestinians" do not have a claim of ownership of funds. To do so, the PA would have to be the legal representation of the "Palestinians" and they must be a sovereign nation, which they aren't. The PA can institute their own taxes, passports, immigration policies, laws, etc. as much as they want but they do not really have the right to do so in the current situation of disputed land ownership and their unilateral war against Israel, an actual sovereign nation. The agreement to enact PA taxes and collect those taxes was through the Oslo Accords and they came with stipulations on NOT following unilateral actions of Statehood, which the PA broke. The same issue exists between sovereign States around the world. Case in point, New Hampshire is a tax-free State while Massachusetts has taxes. Mass demands that NH collect taxes of its citizens who purchase items in their State because they have a right to those taxes. NH told them to get lost. In the end, Mass has no legal recourse to demand action from NH, and the PA has no legal recourse to demand action from Israel.
40. #35 - or Israel can simply stop collecting the taxes
William ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
and block the trade altogether. Israel is not obligated, legally or morally, to facilitate trade into and out of the "Palestinian" areas beyond the meek minimum, and that includes work visas for those the PA hasn't gotten around to hiring into its dilapidated public sector. Infact, what I would do if I was Israel is allow trade but collect NO taxes, and let the PA scramble to get the money themselves. A fun spectacle to watch.
41. Thank you William / 39
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.28.11)
You made it very clear and gave me a better understanding. I appreciate it
42. Feed the Dog that bites U? Of course you should.
Bernie ,   Erehwon, USA   (11.28.11)
And speak sweetly as you do, maybe it will bite you not quite so hard because you do!
43. Israel needs new elections NOW
Bibi has lost it ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
to save us from Bibi
44. Bibi elections are coming up
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.28.11)
And you leftists will be a minority in Likud. I think changing places with Feiglin would be a good start.
45. Once again Bibi disgraces Likud and Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
Bibi is certainly predictable. First he says or does something sensible. The moment pressure is applied against him; he folds like a lawn chair. Once again, Bibi disgraces Likud and everything the vast majority of Israeli voted for. Attention Likud: Bibi has got to go. It is utterly absurd for Israel to fund our mortal P.A. enemies.
46. #41 - you're welcome, Eaglebeak
William ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
someone has to set the record straight amid the mountains of dis-information "Palestinians" and their supporters are spewing. The PA's claim that these funds are rightfully their's is like saying FARC in Colombia or Hizbullah in Lebanon has the right to set up their own tax collection and pseudo-govt infrastructure, which clearly they don't. When the "Palestinians" aren't involved, the rest of the world refers to these acts as EXTORTION. When the Pallys are involved, it's considered good governance. Go figure.

My response to you was censored for some reason. Obviously speech is not totally free over here. Regards,
