when Israel will understand that without torah there is nothing. i know there have been accusations as well in the haredim schools. but we are talking about 2900 cases. i wish one day there will be only datim schools (haredim to whoever chooses to) but why not to teach children from little, anyone can see the difference in the children. Parents it doesn't hurt to teach them religion and what better in a dati school. im sure the number of sexual and moral abuse will decrease.

With the promiscuity that is taught by teachers? That little girls are taught to dress like hookers? I saw a class where the teachers were teaching 10 year olds to bump, grind and shimmy to heavy metal. With MTv, movies, and what about our advertisements? Some are down right pornographic. I saw on a MORNING talk show on arutz 2 two people in a bed on the set simulating copulation under covers. All that on top of what kids watch and see on the internet, with parents at work all day. And you wonder at increased sexual violence?

We see this everywhere! I made the experience, that teachers cannot fix it, if children come back to school after a weekend with parents, who refuse to take control of the issue. It's not exactly an advantage to see fathers to kill zombies with their X-boxes (only an example). I see families functioning less and less, leaving teachers no chance to fix anything. Violence and sexism in daily life must be rolled back as far as possible, so that parents and teachers get a chance to address the issues of life at the right time in a sensible manner. Sexual abuse is only ultimate violence! It's the violation of the individual dignity of a person! It's the worst, that we can do to fellow humans! We cannot fix this, if we teach our children more maths, physics or computer science! We must invest the time and go into ethics and morals. I cannot recommend to introduce an extra lesson for this at school. I remember our maths/physics teacher to frequently "wasting" one or two hours to address these issues in the light of a particular topic.

Children learn from their parents. Role of parents is to raise healthy offspring. To do this, parents need to be with their children in Quantity Time, not 'Quality' Time. Israel must change laws regarding employment. This will encourage parents to be with their children more. No weekends no long weekends and Working a minimum 9 hour day, 5 or6 days a week gives parents no real time with their children. Parents also seem to choose not to spend time with their children. I work in a private gan where many of the mothers do not work and most parents have Friday off. Yet they WANT their children in gan ALL day and every Friday. The system has to change and parents attitudes towards their children have to change. If not, situations like this abuse will only increase as it has in America

and you think there is no abuse in Haredi circles? Rabbis molesting children etc... what and who is to blame there? Too much discipline maybe? And how about secretly surfing the net for porno by 'pious' men?

I had thought that among Jewish students this sort of thing would be unknown. You have an ethic of study and academic achievement. You are being bombed and attacked, and live under constant threat from real enemies. How does this happen in your beautiful country?! :( You already have an enemy, that is not your fellow kids, and you already have an example of what is cool and who should be looked up to, that is people who excel in their studies. Just because you live in a place where the "cool" kids aren't around to pick on the Jews, doesn't mean you should pick on each other! Please note that I'm not talking about the other, much more horrific kind of abuse. I cannot picture kids being like that, and no kid should be able even to conceive of himself behaving in such a reprehensible manner. You are not monsters. It is appaling that any of your children should behave as the monsters do.
