1. I have never read more BS in one story!!
Mike ,   Raanana Israel   (12.01.11)
Who exactly did they poll in Israel? Was it the radical Left? or Was it the radical orthodox or nutri katra folks?? The poll is complete garbage and does not represent the real situation on the ground here in Israel. In this neck of the woods a strong and powerfull Israel represents Israeli surviaval. Any otherway would mean the end of Israel. Get your heads out of the sand.
2. FUTURE: No Nuclear weapons in the World 'EVER'?...Ha Ha Ha !
Roland Seener ,   London England   (12.01.11)
3. Braindead conclusions
Beary White ,   Norway   (12.01.11)
You have some braindead results on the survey. Whom did you questionize, leftist student at a university, who just wants to have dangerous sex! Israel is outnumbered against the muslims. The only weapon which hold the islamic terror-states away, is nuclear.
4. israel does not have to give it up
kiddn   (12.01.11)
5. If Israel gives up its nukes,
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (12.01.11)
the Israelis might as well walk voluntarily into the sea.
6. Haim Saban : The greatest Jewish lefty since Sandy Koufax.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (12.01.11)
7. who exactly were polled and who conducted it
zionist forever   (12.01.11)
The bulk of the Jews wanted Israel to have nukes before Iran started working in its own nuclear program now 65% say well if Iran agrees to give them up then we will be willing to give up ours. One day it may be possible for Israel to give up nukes but just because Iran says ok we will end our own nuclear program is pure stupidity. First and foremost ALL threats to Israel need to be eliminated because the nukes have kept the peace since 1973. I find it very hard to believe that 65% of the Jews in this country feel that way so who conducted the poll, how many people were polled ( are we talking about more than about 500 ), who were the majority polled, what was the question and how was it asked, word the question right and you can get a different answer to if you asked the same question in another way. There are to many unknowns to trust this poll.
8. 65%
Joseph Katz ,   Jerusalem   (12.01.11)
65% are dead crazy
9. #1 why is it that the right hates facts?
Ari ,   Israel   (12.01.11)
Polling is a science! Where are you getting your info? From you right wing friends and family. They use a well respected method to get this information your just expressing opinion
10. Nuclear-free would be nice...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.01.11)
If Iran was the only problem Israel had to worry about in her own neighbourhood.
11. Well I'm NOT prepared to give them up
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.11)
Simply because I don't trust our neighbours or anyone in the entire region come to think of it. We need them for self preservation. KEEP THE NUKES!
12. We've also NEVER EVER threatened anyone with our nukes
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.11)
Unlike Iran, who proudly tell the world they want to' wipe us off the face of the earth' and that they have 150,000 missiles that can reach Israel. Don't get rid of the nukes, get rid of Ahma-mentalcase-dinejad!
13. Wait, do we have nukes?
David ,   Raanana, Israel   (12.01.11)
14. Mike's comment
avi ,   israel   (12.01.11)
I fully concur.
15. Hope that China and India now see...
Tim ,   Brighton   (12.01.11)
the potential catastrophe to their economies if Ahmadinejads nuclear genie is let out of the bottle Because their economies growing as they are...are already slowing down as a result of financial instabilty. With growing alarm in Chinese and Indian business communities realise that with what would happen if Ahmadinejad and his RG triggered a regional war and oil prices shot up to $200 pb..? Could China and India sustain a drop in GDP of up to 40%? There probably would be social disntegration Yet they still dither and prevaricate about putting real pressure on Iran lest they lose some short term gain I just hope thay have some convincing excuses for their public if Iran on the strength of its 'support' from China Russia and India provokes a regional war So to China and India we say...stop contemplating your navel...start contemplating some unpleasant truths
16. THANKS , BUT NO THANKS
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (12.01.11)
I prefer to keep nuclear weapons ,the Holocaust should have taught these dumb israeli 65 % what happens when jews are defencless. NEVER AGAIN = NUCLEAR OPTION. As for Iran , nothing to lose any sleep over.
17. One word: BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.01.11)
18. Not reliable
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A / Israel   (12.01.11)
I don't believe in these kind of researches. Depend on how the question is formulated you can have everything you want. Better trust the chat of taxi drivers.
19. They Definitely Didn't Poll Me
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (12.01.11)
Or anyone I know. They must have only polled Israeli Arabs. No way this "poll" is accurate.
20. What are you guys?? Nuts??
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (12.01.11)
21. And we'll absorb Jewish refugees if Arab countries do same
JordanIsPalestine ,   Los Angeles, CA   (12.01.11)
22. Why ynet is not publishig my remarks?
Jew1 ,   Ashdod   (12.01.11)
This is the biggest bullshipt i read in this year. Who polled? This poll is biased and not true. Me or anyone I know is not ready to give up nucks (if we have any :-) )
23. spin co ltd
Dan David   (12.01.11)
Again, the good old trick to plant ideas created by Hallucination of a pen pusher - in support of the Arab propaganda. No Israeli in his right mind can even think of such absurd.
24. If nuclear bombs go off in the Middle East
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.01.11)
Israelis and everyone else will die, because the wind will blow and radiation will spread everywhere. It's good to see that Israelis are starting to come to their senses. A nuclear exchange will not be a victory for anyone.
25. May HASHEM deliver Israel from Herself -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (12.01.11)
- if this would be the truth as according to Nr 1. The Nuces of Iran are for tageting the West if they inteviene in Mideast affairs against Iran. Mideast as such is not the Target for Israeli Nuces, HASHEM has another intention with them as regarding Israels survival. If Israel did not have the Nuces and nobody else in the Mideast, nobody in the Mideast would have the capasity to stop Irans Mideast religious intention. Israel without Nuces and Iran will come For Israel. Israel without Nuces will be wiped of the Map, not only with the Help of Iran but even bigger Nations. In short. Arn.Sweden.
26. Who did the survey ... BS Research Corporation.. TRASH
Alan ,   SA   (12.01.11)
27. # 18 Fake
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.01.11)
This is a fake post. I know Sarah B. would never write this. Delete it now.
28. #9 and another point
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.01.11)
Polling is regarded for what it is. It's the opinions of typically a thousand random people, which may or may not be of any value (typically isn't). If I may make another point, although you didn't say anything about this; even if this poll were to represent the feelings of the Israeli people it still wouldn't mean that it was a good idea to do this. The fundamental flaw in democracy is that the public is often short-sighted and easily manipulated (to a much greater extent here). They don't think ahead to the problems not having certain deterrents would cause, only how nice it would be to not have to deal with that deterrent. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it is right or a good idea.
29. Nukes
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (12.01.11)
While I am opposing nuclear energy in general, I think that the only weapon, that holds back Israel's crazy neighbors to do such stupid attacks as they already did several times in the past, is nuclear bomb. So, in this case I think it would be stupid to give them up in exchange for some lies from Iran.
30. #9 Get your facts straight
Adam ,   Raanana   (12.01.11)
Polling is in absolutely no way a science. What is the margin of error? The sample population? The significance and probability scores of the research? If 90% of middle-age doctors believed that blood-letting was a cure to ailments does that make it a scientific fact? Based on the last elections, I would question the integrity of such a poll. If Israel chooses to give up nuclear capabilities it should not be based on an Iranian decision to do so. Ynet needs to stop publishing false information. Without any knowledge on the sample population and margin of error, we have absolutely no way to determine the legitimacy of such a claim.
