Everyone stands to benefit from rehabilitating the dead sea. There are two reasons why it is disappearing, 1, the dead sea works evaporation ponds and 2. less fresh water coming from the Jordan river. This bill doesn't address the second, more important reason. If Israel is to have a population of 10-15 million in the next generation, desalination has to be adopted far more agressively. Rehabilitating the kinneret and the Jordan river is what will save the dead sea.
