Not only that classic antisemitism is well and alive by one more time blaming Israel (the Jewish homeland) for anything wrong and terrible in any given society at any given time, but it is legitimized by an academic and published in some academic journal. It would not be a surprise had the academic being a member of some pseudo-scholar institution supported by the despotic regime in Iran or by some other medieval regime in the region. However, a Swedish scholar? is this academic freedom at its worth? was the article blind-reviewed by other scholars? and if so, then the problem is GIGANTIC because it exemplifies that the scientific discourse of antisemitism has a house in academic circles beyond middle-eastern studies departments in universities. On the other hand, if this is a minor irrelevant publication by some obscure scholar searching for fame, without going through the academic process of refereed publishing, then the question is: Why the media pays attention to this? why to give it a space and some notoriety? in turn, the problem is the media interest in promoting such speculations, which demonstrates the antisemitic nature of much of the media. And, last, the problem is larger because the conspiracy here is that of the media with an academic institution providing legitimization, thus making antisemitic false allegations some sort of irrefutable "truth." Europe is going down in this sense and wants to blame the Jewish people one more time in history, which has been very convenient in times of crisis!
