I believe emergency preparedness would be much better and more efficient under the leadership of the Home Command. One Home Command officer per district should organize education and leadership roles for persons from the local authorities, set clear goals and check that the goals are reached within a reasonable time frame. Also courses should be held and a person in each block should be an emergency resource representative, to whom the locals and neighbours can turn for help and instructions. Needless to say they should be keepers of the shelters, fire extinguishers and so on. I'd gladly pay another few shekels in taxes, if such measures were efficiently implemented.

The reason they are not prepared for an emergency is because the TOP PRIORITY of Israeli leaders is ethnic/religious Jew cleansing. Sderot and citizens of other Israeli cities live in terror and daily fear of Islam's constant rocket attacks. Where are the IDF? They are busy in Biblical Judea and Samaria, destroying Jewish homes and rendering Jewish families homeless.

I was in israel during the 73 war there is less ptepareness now than.there was then. Tel Aviv is like another country where many people never have even seen the rest of the country. No gas mask sent out protecting hostile left wing elements and spys in Israel. Saw the iron Dome in action cant see how that would be helpful in a massive rocket attack. Too much reliance on US too political in making moves that are in the interest of Israel. Other reasons wont say since it could affect security.
