31. Union of Reform Judaism-people of the book?
Union of Reform Juda ,   WORLD   (12.21.11)
WHOSE BOOK?
32. Sharon # 6
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (12.21.11)
If they really worried about America first they wouldn't have voted for Obama in the first place. They choose to live here because they worry about themselves first.
33. he lost support amoung jews
david ,   new york   (12.21.11)
even if you believe this poll from very biased sources (and i don't), 50% jewish approval rating for a democrat is horrendous. the large bulk of "jews" on those polls are completely secular and radically liberal. to get 50% to dissaprove of you requires you to be pretty intolerable.
34. I wonder if Canada will take me back...
Anon in DC ,   Washington, USA   (12.21.11)
If American voters (and Jews, who should know better) reelect Obama to a second term, I'll have to consider leaving the country. The only other places I've lived are Canada, where I finished my first college degree, and Israel, where I lived briefly some decades ago. Canada is still a decent country - reasonably well governed, prosperous, and I won't have to learn a new language (though they need to rethink their policy on immigration from Muslim countries). Israel however is my other home, but with a government that won't stand up for its own rights and interests - not to foreign meddlers, nor to local pressure from leftist or sectarian extremists. I hope I won't have to make that decision.
35. We put him in office, didn't we?
Josh   (12.21.11)
36. Reality
michael Pielet ,   israel   (12.21.11)
Obama is not going to receive a majority of the Jewish vote. Only in Florida is the Jewish vote potentially important and here in florida, Obama is a total loser.
37. PZ # 26
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (12.21.11)
The people who are blindly following are the people who voted for and support our Muslim president Obama.
38. American Jewish optimism
Dan ,   TN   (12.21.11)
American Jewish optimism causes us to put icing on any cake. So we will cover a pile of horse manure and pretend it is chocolate cake. German Jews did the same in the 1930's.
39. they'll regret it, they always do...
ej ,   nyc   (12.21.11)
leftist Jews will reap what they sow! If Obama appears restrained its only because of the re-election, next year he will have nothing to lose and you'll see him throw not only Israel under the bus, but also the US economy, our national prestige, and open our borders for more illegal infiltration. Jews NEVER learn from their mistakes, just like when they backed the Communists in Soviet Russia in 1920s, they ended up in the gulags just a decade later (i.e. yevsektsya) ...
40. Personality factors

jonathan ,   MN/US   (12.21.11)
44. Not this Jew!
Ben ,   Boston, USA   (12.21.11)
As an American Jew, who happens to be a Democrat, I can flat out say that Mr. Obama will not be getting my vote in the upcoming election. Plain and simple.
45. Very Sad State of Jewish Awareness
Non-Koolaid Drinker ,   Bluestate USA   (12.21.11)
Why is Liberalism so Infectious that intelligent people fear Faith and Ignore Incompetence and Dangerous Ideology?
46. Jews are suicidal
Dr. I. Heart ,   Detroit   (12.21.11)
"President Obama protests too much. It is not a fact that his administration has been strong in support of Israel. It is a fact that in the past month alone, Obama administration officials have blamed Israel for the failure of the peace process, blamed Israel for fraying relations with the increasingly Islamist governments in Egypt and Turkey, compared Israel to Iran, and blamed Israel for Muslim anti-Semitism in Europe. The president hasn't clarified or repudiated any of these remarks. Israel's security doesn't come from campaign-season platitudes delivered to Jewish audiences. Israel's security depends on an American president who stands with Israel all the time, in public and private, before audiences foreign and domestic -- and whose administration's first instinct isn't to blame Israel first. The president's wishes to the contrary notwithstanding, the Emergency Committee for Israel will continue to tell it like it is."
47. #35 Obama
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.21.11)
Without guessing whether Obama will be re-elected or not, it isn't the Jews who put him in power. He came to power thanks to Gays, who will have to reconsider their vote after Obama's treatment of Bradley Manning. He came to power thanks to Leftists, who will have to reconsider their vote in light of Gitmo and the massacres in Afghanistan. He came to power thanks to African Americans who will have to reconsider their vote in light of their men's unemployment, their starving children and his ignoring Black Africans in favor of the rich Arabs. The only ones who won't reconsider their vote are American Jews (like Friedman and Rahm) who vote Obama not despite his hatred of Israel but because of his hatred of Israel.
48. Are we hiding true support of Obama. Odinga?
Karl Marx   (12.21.11)
49. 34 - Anon
Baruch Norman ,   Bat Yam   (12.21.11)
Leave. Canada has some great outback, huge expanses of forest and land to get totally lost in. Do it. Neither the USA nor we need you. You can study Inuit instead.
50. And they should!
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (12.21.11)
Barack Obama is much better, both for US Jews and for the state of Israel. Reasonable people understand this. Not the loud mouths, but the voices of reason.
51. Truth
Sam ,   Boston, MA   (12.21.11)
The numbers are true. Most Jews have trouble voting for a party that doesn't believe in science and that is doing everything in its power to increase income disparity. Israel, we've heard the US needs Israel more than the other way, so why should this be a factor?
52. Obama has been doing his best. Nobody better is running.
Michael ,   California, USA   (12.21.11)
Elections are an exercise in relativity and Obama will be reelected because there is nobody better than him running. But, we still have one year to go and things may change. There may be a more LIBERAL candidate somewhere, working her way up to the top, but I doubt it. Obama has been very good to Israel throughout his term and will continue in this vein. The confused racist talkbackers should repent and post apologetic comments.
53. Mean-spirited
Mahlon Drumgoole ,   Newark NJ USA   (12.21.11)
As a Jew who loves Israel, I will not vote for any candidate, Republican or Democratic, who does not support Israel. I also believe that most of the major GOP candidates respect and care for Israel more than Obama and his advisors. However, the Republicans also have views that most Jews (Including myself) do not agree with. Most Jews, raised with the need for social justice, cannot reconcile social justice with so many positions of the GOP on economic and social issues. Economically, the GOP is staunchly anti-union. While there is corruption in some unions, they have helped to shape a strong middle class and have fought for safe working conditions and decent pay. They have helped so many Americans enjoy a solid middle class lifestyle and these higher wages have driven the economy. Besides, even the Republicans cannot blame the unions for the recession that was caused by the greed and criminality of the banks, mortgage lenders, and moneyed wall street interests. Along with their disdain for unions, it is obvious that Republicans, while preaching patriotism, couldn't care less about the tremendous loss of American manufacturing jobs and at a time when the top 1% of the population is controlling more and more of the country's economy, any attempt to get a little more in taxes from them is met with cries of "class warfare." Socially, most Jews do not care about same sex-marriage, do not favor bible reading in public schools, and agree strongly with the concept of separation of church and state---all positions of the Democrats. I'm going to wait to see who the Republicans nominate before I decide on who to vote for. At this time, Oama's coldness towards Israel will not permit me to vote for him.
54. That poll is GARBAGE !!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.21.11)

60. Reform "Judaism" Is A Lie
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (12.21.11)
B"H - Reform Judaism is a lie in as much as Torah aims to reform society, whereas these people prefer to reform Torah according to society: An evil, anti-Torah enterprise
