1. peace, finally!
daze ,   US   (12.23.11)
Peaceful resistance, you say? So moving, so touching, hamas and fatah putting away their differences, and bridging that gap. The lion is truly lying down with the la...wait a second, somebody just picked a fight
2. My very favorite expression in Ivrit...
Gideon Reader   (12.23.11)
...seems to be quite appropriate here. "Ayn gav bli pigyon". (No back without a dagger) (Or as it would be said in Anglit: "No back unstabbed") That heart abbrazzo and back slap is merely searching for the best spot to sink the blade.
3. Was the interior decorator blind?

4. Doemocracy
David ,   Tel Aviv   (12.23.11)
I think democracy can be achieved by unity between Hamas and Fateh regardless if the Israeli Interest. We say that Palestinians are terrorists and we blame them for throwing rocks at us, so what we can say about settlers who act with violence against our soldiers?
5. I thought Arafat had given up terror for peaceful resistance
zionist forever   (12.23.11)
Not long after Abbas declared Hamas had given up terror in favor of peaceful resistance there was a rocket fired. Why is it since the claim Hamas wanted to do things the peaceful way they have stressed time and time again they intend to kidnap more soldiers? How about the PLO & Hamas changing their charters formerly recognizing Israel and to say their territorial demands extend only to the pre 1967 border and they will have no further territorial demands beyond that. I think its safe to say Hamas are not going to relinquish terror but the big question is how long will this new show of unity between Hamas & Fatah last?
6. Maybe they could organize games like the Scots
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.23.11)
This would allow them an out let for the blood letting, just as the Highland Games have done for the Scottish Clans. Instead of caber tossing, they can have terrorist tossing and see how can toss a terrorist off a building the furthest. Instead of the Stone put - they can have the slingshot shooting. The winner would be the one that blinded the other terrorist. Other unique events would be the suicide bomber that killed the most family members of their opponents. Just a few early ideas.
7. Reconciliation? Believe that? Dogs can fly
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (12.23.11)
Pretty Boy Mashaal (fast losing his pretty boy looks) simply doesnt like being sidelined Hamas have lost all credibilty and Mashaal the most. So promising anything - he wants to grab and leech on to Fatah to protect his job and worldy comforts before hes consigned to political oblivion Is Abbas throwing away ALL the hard won achievements in East Palestine West Bank by going back to the Hamas ideology of the dark ages of violence and death? Is he now going to renounce his recognition of Israel? I cant imagine a Palestine with Mashaal - the very man who was grinning at a photo op when he 'congratulated' a family of a suicide bomber. A man wallowing in luxury in Damascus whilst people rot in Gaza. A man whose ill gotten gains have been acquired by selling Gazas soul and becoming a stooge of Ahmadinejad Is this a future we really want?
8. #6 Gee Wiz! A better game
s B   (12.23.11)
Other unique events would be the suicide bomber who killed the most jewish members of their opponents.
9. #8
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.23.11)
No you moron - the Highland Games are internal for Scots only - Arab Games should be the same.
10. 6
john Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (12.24.11)
Should be exiting games as they have plenty of participants.
11. First the courting, then engagement
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (12.24.11)
then the wedding, fights starts between the couple, then comes the divorce, announced with gunfire at each other
12. #6 Gee - What would they have instead of haggis hurling?
Devorah   (12.24.11)
