31. Haredi imposition of religion on public like Nuerenberg Laws
Aharon   (01.02.12)
The Haredi imposition of religion on the public is much closer to the Nuerenberg Laws. The public back lash on the Haredi is more like the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. The haredim are getting out of hand.
32. # 13
Alex ,   USA   (01.02.12)
I agree with you 100% . This man doesn't deserve the name " Moshe ". I've survived the holocaust and I was offended by this brutal display, disgracing the memory of the holocaust martyrs. They defending an inhumane, shameful behavior against the female population of Israel. They have nor reason to complain, if the general population against them
33. OY VEY! Give me a break, like NOT. Not a little.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (01.02.12)
34. If you don't like living
joe ,   newtown USA   (01.02.12)
in a Jewish ZIONIST State, move elsewhere and WAIT for the Moshiach . A minority can not impose its rules on a majority
35. They remind me of the Taliban
G'day Mate ,   Sydney   (01.02.12)
All ideas are like a virus, looking for acceptance and/or a vacuum. Most ideas drift off into the ether, but this has taken hold and looks serious.
36. What else can one do?
(01.02.12)
Except refer to them as nut jobs.
37. Shame on them, living the way they want instead my way
Norm   (01.02.12)
So, you're upset because people don't choose to live the way you do and since they don't they are perpetrating a holocaust on you. Where did this guy learn to reason?
38. Has anyone asked who is funding these people?
EST ,   Miami USA   (01.02.12)
They don't work, have lots of kids and yet have sofisticated websites, fly to Iran, are organized in Germany and the US as well as in Israel. WHO is funding them? WHO is behind the divisiveness they are supposed to bring to Israel? WHO is funding this huge anti-Israel propaganda campaign???? I heard it is Soros...does any one know?
39. No point talking
PaulZion ,   Israel   (01.02.12)
There is no point in talking to these fanatics. This Haredi member quoted in this article, makes that abundantly clear. When you get to a situation like we have, that certain sects in the country reject the laws of the State and follow only the laws of the Torah, that causes anarchy and therefore they must be brought to account. They are like a 5th column, undermining the very raison d'etre of the existence of Israel as a jewish State. These people would never dare behave in this manner anywhere else in the world. In NY there are more Haredim than here. Do we see any of this bulls$%t about gender segregation on public transport over there? No! They are exploiting and taking advantage of their status and their political position, that controls the coalition and keeps the government afloat to make outragious demands and get away with it. This phenomenon must be nipped in the bud, otherwise it will spread to other cities in Israel that has Haredi communities, like Nahariya, Maalot, Karmiel, Petach Tikwa, Ashdod, Bnei Brak etc. The time has come for the secular majority to wrest back control of our lives and determine the nature of the society we want to live in.
40. Persecutors of Jews masquerading as frummer-thn-thou victims
Israeili Jew   (01.02.12)
Toevot!
41. How many of these kids actually know what they are doing?
Henry from New York ,   USA   (01.02.12)
This reminds me of that massive anti-abortion rally I attended to study. There were thousands of children there under the age of 11. How many of them actually understand what they are doing much less have an informed or actual opinion on the issue? It's disgusting when parents misuse their children like this.
42. No excuses, no rationalisations
joel ,   israel   (01.02.12)
No to Haredim. There use of Holocaust symbols is outrageous. I have red and dscard their reasoning. As always, they are special, they are pious, they are unique.... No, no more. I am first generation Auschwitz and I fight against any group that belittles the Shoah. We have seen British Minister's tumble, movie stars and fashion designers career's ruined. Send them to live in a concentration camp if they want a true comparison. The haredem are no more pious than anyother human being and we should give them no quarter....They will always moan, that's their strategy...
43. Haredim are the ones doing the persecuting! ...
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.02.12)
...HOW DARE THEY TRY TO TURN THIS AROUND! They persecute women, seculars and non-Jews all the time. Did they forget about their fashion police squads, armed with pepper spray? Making their women over dress in extreme temperatures isn't persecution? Making women sit separate on public transportation isn't persecution? Spitting on anyone let alone children isn't persecution? Defacing images of women all over the country isn't persecution? They have been welcome to participate at any event if the choose, but now they say they are being discriminated against and making a comparison to the Holocaust??? If they think whats going on now is "persecution", it's only going to get uglier from here on in. Typical dogmatist hypocrites. SHAME ON THEM!
44. It sells "papers" but do us a favour:stop reporting on these
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.02.12)
nut-jobs! Then let the govt. start working properly on this (for now) relatively small problem.
45. Grand Rabbis: excommunicate lunatic fringe-
b mezritch ,   philadelphia pa   (01.02.12)
Unforgivable use of holocaust imagery is an abomination and a degradation of the memory of the 6 million. This is an outrage. NK should be deported to Gaza or worse.
46. Moshe be ashamed of yourself
Margie in Tel Aviv ,   Tel Aviv   (01.02.12)
Try to live in Israel as if you truly lived among goyim. Respect the government. Work for your own living. Keep your opinions to yourselves in case you annoy your hosts. You are not the rulers of this country. You disapprove of our behaviour but you take our tax money as if you are owed it. You behave as if you owned the country and we were usurpers. Respect us and our power. You're just another branch of our extended family: not our father.
47. #14
NNF ,   R.H. Israel   (01.02.12)
So if they are "Loonies" shouldn't they be locked up in a Loony Bin? They don't recognize the State of Israel , yet they exploit it to pursue their own ends. A way must be found to prevent "Loonies" from participating in elections to the Knesset. NNF

50. 46 Margie - the problem is: you're mistaken
Thinking Jew ,   Israel   (01.02.12)
These Quaker tramplers of Torah ARE the religious rulers of this country, and that is the problem. Their authority is secular, NOT divine, originating in the Israeli government, not heaven. That makes it a thoroughly rotten and corrupt hypocrisy. Their rank and file obey their rabbis blindly and mindlessly. Questioning of really sensitive topics is forbidden. In other words, they worship their rabbis, the definition of a cult. Their children are indoctrinated, not educated. Indeed, education, like science, is prohibited. Long ago they lost sight of Hashem AND the core principles of His Torah. Their "frummer-than thou" is empty hypocrisy. Peek outside the ghetto and think of the bigger creation of Hashem. When Oprah sits down to a breakfast of cheese omelot and bacon she is closer to Torah ideals than these Haredim. And that is the biggest problem.
51. Number 9 - miracle
MR ,   Beit Shemesh, Israel   (01.02.12)
I actually heard that the child in the picture did grow up and ended up in Monsey NY, where he was a dentist for many years.
52. Introduce Jail for persons publicly trivialising Holcaust
(01.02.12)
Imprisonment should be face all who trivialise the Holocaust like in Law In Germany . If they forbid it how much more so in Israel?
53. #51 MR
Devorah   (01.02.12)
If he is still alive and has an opinion one way or the other about this, I sure would like to hear it. Thank you for the update on him.
54. #1, #12 and others
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (01.02.12)
I agree that the use of Shoah in such a way is offensive, but the real problem is whether you guys are attacking the Haredim for this or because you just hate them. If it is the latter, you are just as bad. These Haredim did not invent the abuse of Shoah, that credit goes to to professors such as Leibowitz and Zimmerman, or politicians like Lapid and even entertainers like Yaffa Yarkoni z"l who we mourn today. What is funny, is that these Haredim are all Leftists who support Fatah and the Oslo Accords.
55. baloney-
Mari   (01.02.12)
what absurd statements- do these people even know what they are babbling about? What do they call this the: anti-semitism ? And it comes from fellow Jews- it boggles the mind. Sad that these religious people should stoop so low and desecrate the memory of their fellow Jews.
56. The lost humanity
Alex ,   USA   (01.02.12)
This group of people thinking their falsely declared special relationship with the Almighty, gives them the right to take a way the freedom of a segment of the society, forbidding to sing, to walk, to seat. They are the ones who resembles Nazi behavior more than the secular life style. They are the ones trying to force their way of life upon the whole State of Israel. They are aggressive inhuman elements, endangering the existence of the whole Jishuv.
