Throwing stones by the two haredi men is of course is permitted-after all, they know the Torah.
2. haredim
DAV ID ,   BELGIUM   (01.06.12)
Rav Ovadia Jossef said it already and other Rabbis could take his example,to say to those Hardim that they are att all not behaving in the way the thora ask.I don t know any graet Rabbi who behave like those haredim? It s agains everything the thorah teach us. The question is do they know anything about how a haredi has to behave
3. Thanks, Ynet
El-Nakam ,   TA, Israel   (01.06.12)
For the daily dose of hate
4. When will these religious hypocrites get a heart and brain?
John ,   NZ   (01.06.12)
5. Cash
zivron   (01.06.12)
Offer them cash to do cyberintelligence as the Talmud as the South Koreans Know sharpens the mind brilliantly and is good for the computor counterhacking. Big Bonuses ought be made available to keep their minds off violence with stones which causes isolation of the Haredi and sows hate a chillul hashem in itself .
6. the Left's revenge!
Ben ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.06.12)
7. #3 so concealment would be better?
Ze'ev ,   Nbg, germany   (01.06.12)
Sorry, but all those incidents happen since a long time and remaining slient didnt change or stoped it, the opposite is true! Under the cloak of concealment it did grow!
8. Garbage....
yaakov ,   TA   (01.06.12)
Should be flushed away....
9. @#3 Who's doing the hate?
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.06.12)
I'd say its the violently intolerant ones involved in the story, that's who.
10. #3: Don't Blame YNET, They're Just The Messenger
emanon ,   USA   (01.06.12)
Ask the harediem: if they are so holy, why are they throwing rocks at innocent people and not praying for the changes they want?
11. # 1
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.06.12)
No John its not permitted & its not accepted. The gulity ones are not the mainstream Haredim, but freaks who will be stopped eventually. They are giving our religion & our country a very bad name. Shame on them.
12. For peace sake #3
Andrew ,   London   (01.06.12)
#3 well said it seems the purpose of ynet is to divide Jews unfortunately the divide has always existed in Israeli society after all these years it's beginning to look like they might need a three state solution In the meantime stop the witch hunt obviously let freedom prevail arrest the troublemakers the ones disturbing the "peace" they should start listening to the rabbis the ones that represent the majority of the population
13. I don't know Tora from a Telephone- book, but I KNOW that
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.06.12)
stoning buses/people is NOT a good thing. Gee,I wonder how I aquired this vital piece of ethics?! I have an educated guess, where the Followers of the Imaginary Friend got theirs....
14. Detained but not Prosecuted - Why?
Helena   (01.06.12)
That's the problem in Israel, women don't even have the right to travel on public transport without some religious freak abusing them for being a woman. The Israeli government had better address this problem sooner rather than later because it's out of control, and some people would rather live somewhere else than in Israel and suffer the abuse..
15. Let's never have NO GO areas in Israel
Tambour ,   Eilat   (01.06.12)
16. these people are a tiny group of crazy fanaticts
Joseph ,   London   (01.06.12)
This Charedi bashing is getting out of hand, this is a group of maxium a few hundred crazy people. These are not typical Charedim
17. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR
BERNARD ,   RESEDA CA   (01.06.12)
Have any of the Charedim that dress up as holocaust victims, throw stones and spit on women and children, call the police and members of the IDF nazis. Have any of them any idea what would have happened to them under the Nazi regime of Germany in the 1930's and the 1940's I think not. Their ignorance is disgusting, no it's far worse than disgusting. They believe that Israel is one big Purim party in kindergaten, where they can dress up act foolishly and spit when they don't get enough sufguniot. But they know that in the morning they will still be fed, clothed, housed and educated, as parents would for their little children that they love. Shall we send them to their room, take away their toys for a day. or should we do to them what a proper nazi did. then they would have the justification. In Germany today it is a crime to deny the holocaus, the same punishment should be given in Israel to anyone that dresses up as a holocaus victim, if they dress their children as holocaust victims the children should be removed from their care. Yes they have the right to put their point of view forward, but they should do it like a mench,do it like a just and god fearing person,do it with compassion, do it with respect, this I believe should be found in the Talmud. Where does it say in the Talmud. "Act like a deranged wild child that knows not what he does"??
18. Stop the incitement and persecution against charedim
Vladimir ,   Yerushalayim   (01.06.12)
if you don't want to get a religious government after the next general elections!
19. ...and I say: Teach them a lesson.
PaulZion ,   Israel   (01.06.12)
These acts of vandalism and violence are inexcusable. Teach them a lesson: They stone buses? Stop providing them with public transport. Let them walk in the rain. They burn dumpsters? Stop collecting their trash, let them live in the stench and the filth. They smash street lights? Cut off their electricity. Let them walk in the dark and freeze in their homes. Maybe then they will calm down. Since they don't pay taxes or municipal fees, they have no idea of the value of these public amenities, so they have no problem vandalizing public property. Let's teach them...the hard way, that actions have consequences and the law of the State is sovereign.
20. Birdi at 11
John Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (01.06.12)
Sweet Birdi,my post was meant to mean the opposite.Of course some Haredi men who throw stones don't understand the Torah because acts of violence at innocent people is not permitted. After all, they should know the Torah.
21. Biggest problem, the decent religious won't ostracize the
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (01.06.12)
radical fruitcakes that spoil it for all of them.
22. As much as I try to pine for Israel as my only two sons are
Al   (01.06.12)
there I truly wonder if they are not simply wasting their time and indeed endagering their lives for a people who are obviously demented to a certain degree. I find that all segments of Israeli society are quite frankly nuts. I find both the secular as well as the religious to be a mixture of nutiness and simple stupidiness all rolled up in a nut bar case of craziness. I have always lived in Canada. The good thing about Canada is that you can live your life however you want without having some asshole tell you differently. I am truly grateful I live in a free country. I can be religious, I can be whatever. I can be what I want to be. I dont have to cowtow to anyones sense of right and wrong.
23. If they are caught throwing rocks, then
jason white ,   afula, israel   (01.06.12)
have the police or armed civilians shoot them. A rock thrown at a moving bus can kill! It is a weapon. Remember the Israeli driver (Palmer) hit by a rock thrown by pali terrorists and his auto went off the road and he and his infant son were killed? Suppose a driver of a bus is hit and the bus crashes? These hara-dim are not good for anything and should be jailed, then sent into exile. Stop paying for them and the arabs to have more children, cut child allowances to those that never served in the I.D.F.!
24. Sticks and Stones
Tell It Like It Is ,   Tel Aviv   (01.06.12)
Thrown by men who are not really acting like "real grown-up" men. Acting like frustrated little boys who know subconsciously that they are useless and don't really feel good about themselves.
25. Now that is a threat, #18
Cameron ,   USA   (01.06.12)
Do you have real electoral "muscle"? That is the question I have been wondering the last few days.
26. Agree with #3
Aviva ,   Israel   (01.06.12)
Ynet isn't just the messenger - Ynet has negative stories about Haredim even when there's nothing to write about. Is there a problem out there? Yes. Problems require solutions not slanted articles which stoke the coals of hatred. Ynet has no problem perpetuating the myth that haredim don't work and haredim don't pay taxes even though most people know it's not true. Ynet could apply some of their investigative talent that helps them find anti-haredi stories under rocks when there are none, to highlight positive goings on by haredim. They choose not to because it doesn't serve their purpose of agitating the masses into a frenzy like a bunch of gullible piranha. And if you think there's nothing positive that could be reported about haredim... congratulations! You're just another victim of the Ynet hate campaign!
27. Aviva, hatred is a two-way street
Michael ,   Haifa   (01.06.12)
As a secular Israeli, I know the Haredim hate me with a passion intense. At the worst, I am a "shaygitz" (an "abomination")...at the best, I am a goy who speaks Hebrew. This is the attitude of the majority of Haredim and not just that of the "few hundred extemists".
28. what is a shiksa?
(01.06.12)
29. with a name like that - Mr Nakam
Jack ,   Shoham Israel   (01.06.12)
The RamBa"n said:.. and the educated will be silent!" You are uneducated and not silent : YNET didnt invent the Charedi violence , YNET didnt invent Charedi hatred, I am positive that like me and milllions we se this hoolagen behaviour by the Ultra-Orthodox-so-called-Jews and cannot believe we are related in any way!!!!
30. unfortunately In UK & NY it is different
Jack ,   Shoham Israel   (01.06.12)
unfortunately In UK & NY it is different most are moderate and the Ultra Orthodox remember the sages saying: Polite behaviour comes before Torah!!!
