12 Talkbacks for this article
1. Slippery
EM ,   Ra'anana   (01.09.12)
The Knesset would better serve the survivors and their descendants if they would allocate funds to provide the best healthcare and homes for the few remaining survivors. Instead they spend time on another slippery slope. Once you start telling people what to wear or say...even if abhorant to you...where does it stop.
2. Agree
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.09.12)
As the only survivor of a large family destroyed in the Shoa... I AGREE with this law. Freedom of expression does NOT include the use of terms which the people using them cannot understand. They cannot comprehend the horror of the Nazi period if they can use such terms so easily.
3. Knesset
AB ,   Jerusalem   (01.09.12)
The biggest (ab)users of the term "Nazi" are Knesset members themselves. But of course, they'll be above this law too.
4. haha, wow... banning the word nazi...
jj   (01.09.12)
looks like the talkbacks all across the land are about to run out of their #1 fallback pejorative term.
5. Can i use 1984 terms instead?
Jonathan ,   MN/US   (01.09.12)
Although in all seriousness this is actuaily a good idea.

This bill is not about telling what to wear, but rather telling what not to wear. A fringe group using Nazi symbols for its twisted message is disrespectful not only to the Holocaust survivors, but also spreads messages of hate and therefore, they have no place in a democratic country.
7. # 2
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (01.09.12)
I agree with you completely
8. This is not a legal Slippery Slope. The New Term Is Amalek

Turn the fire hoses on them, don't indict them or jail them!
10. #1 EM

If you want to know where it stops, just look at North Korea. Welcome to your future.

12. charisi's perspective
charidi ,   usa   (01.11.12)

Has nothing to do with feelings of other people, they don't care for the feelings of the charidim at all, where is their modesty when it comes to charidim ?????
