1. They are racists and Jew haters
Arik ,   Israel   (01.11.12)
they only know how to hate, It is a shame we gave the Sinai back. We should forbid them to enter Israel, none of them.
2. No Problem
Gershon ,   Canada   (01.11.12)
Please note that the DOme of the Rock is now permanently closed to Muslims. That is all.
3. That's Ok. Israel will just ban Egyptians
Richard S. ,   Miami, USA   (01.11.12)
That's Ok. Israel should just ban Egyptians who want to come and visit Jerusalem's Holy Sites.
4. Yes, they are..
Jenny ,   Kfar Saba   (01.11.12)
But think what would happen IF they actually came here and saw how everything they have been fed since breast milk, is a lie. Think how envious they would be, KNOWING they have to return to thier sandhuts and desert, subsiding on dates and camel skin as they have for generations because they cling to the "great" days of thier profit....
5. Egypt Rabbi Grave
Adam ,   London   (01.11.12)
I personally am not religious but wonder whether this is an example of behaviour towards holy sites on the West Bank if handed over completely to the Palestinians. The next thing that will happen is a Mosque will be built on that site in Egypt.
6. A normal person
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.11.12)
would read this and say that the 'Arab Spring' did not strengthen Democracy or social sanity, it only strengthened Islam, radical Islam. Taking this a step further a 'normal person' would conclude that Islam does not allow for co-existence with Jews, Christians or anything that does not submit to their doctrine. The normal conclusion to be made is, don't give Palestinians any land, which will no doubt in the future cause the death of Jews, destruction, and lack of peace.
7. # 4 Hello Jenny !!!!
Sagi   (01.12.12)
Try "subsisting", instead of "subsiding", even if I agree on the fact that they are indeed subsiding and have been for many years on a long descent.
8. I agree 100% with the Egyptians
Sagi   (01.12.12)
What do they need a bunch of idol worshippers for, not better than totem pole dancers, when they have about 80 million of their own. Besides that, I always thought that idolatry was forbidden in Judaism.
9. not about Jewish people, but Israelis
observer ,   Egypt   (01.12.12)
lots of Jews are already visiting the tomb in Dimota right mow, those are Jews who have non-Israeli passports and valid visas. The Israeli Abuhatzeiras themselves have showed their understanding of the security issue and declared that they will not visit the tomb in this year occasion.
10. Abuhatzeira tomb in Daymouta is WEST to, OUTSIDE Nile Delta
(01.12.12)
Israel has no biblical claim at all to the area.
11. Wrld is paying for Britain's crimes.
ButSeriously ,   Sydney   (01.12.12)
The corruption of the Balfour is the greatest Post-W.W.II crime of all. It legitimised today's Islamic terror on humanity and no one is looking at the real culprit because Britain is immune from prosecution - except that a myserious force is making Eurabia as its payback.
12. I dont see why this is a problem
Jonathan ,   MN/US   (01.12.12)
Egypt is just warning israelis it would be a bad idea to visit that tomb right now
13. Great disappointment
Don ,   Rockville, U.S.A.   (01.12.12)
Cancelling a religious pilgrimage with no political agenda attached to it is sad when the new Egypt is trying to promote itself as an Islamic democracy with respect for people of other faiths in the minority I believe they should re-read the Quran for tolerance for peoples of the Book. This is not the right road to Peace in the Middle East.
14. Revered Holy Men ??
Steve Goodman ,   Israel   (01.12.12)
We are now "PAYING THE PRICE" for all our respected Rabbis and Sages who stayed in foreign lands instead of moving to Israel. Had all these men, remembered "NEXT YEAR in YERUSHALAYIM" at a time when their followers would have followed them to Israel, we would have had total control of the Holy Land, possibly no Shoah, no pogroms,no Temple Mount problems to cite a few examples. Instead they chose to remain in the "comfort" of their surroundings versus coming to a desolate and sparsely populated land. I am not talking about the recent past, but our entire history of religous leaders paying lip service by sending a few of their followers, and sending charity. I could speak volumes, but I believe my message comes across. I truly believe that their lack of COURAGE haunts us to this very day.
15. pilgrimage to Al Aqsa will be a suicide missionfor egyptians
Daniela   (01.12.12)
DON'T COME TO ISRAEL !
16. To number 9
Shimon ,   Poleg   (01.12.12)
25% of Israeli citizens are muslims. Do you mind them entering your country? We have Muslim doctors, lawyers, ministers, Army officers, Judges how do you feel about them? Does your hatres only extend to Jews. My grandparents lived in Heliopolis in Cairo can I go see the neighbourhood? Thought not. You people are the most narrow minded Jew-haters I have ever met! I know Syrians, Libyans, Saudis and they are more open-minded and intelligent that you guys you should be ashamed of yourselves!
17. well said Richard S. and Jonathan , MN/US
observer ,   Egypt   (01.12.12)
I would add: till the problem of the occupied versus disputed territories is settled. Isn't that the core religious problem in the ME region according to Israel. Israel has no biblical claim to the tomb area which is OUTSIDE the Nile Delta!
18. idolatry is forbidden in Judaism.
observer ,   Egypt   (01.12.12)
Egypt is trying to educate Jewish Israelis about Judaism.
19. 1 answer to "Arab Spring": BIG ISRAEL, nonviolent transfer!
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (01.12.12)
20. #16 Jews having non-Israeli passports are welcome to Tomb,
observer ,   Egypt   (01.12.12)
safety guaranteed, till Egyptians become aware of the issue of dual citizenship.
21. 9 observer
Jorge Stern ,   Mexico   (01.13.12)
you can take the Jew from Israel but you will never take Israel from the Jew. Pure racism !
22. Stupid comment 14 shame on you
Arik ,   Hadera Israel   (01.13.12)
You criticize our respected rabbis who could not move to Israel! Rabbi Abuhazera, the great and Holy Rabbi of the article you comment died on his way to Israel, where he wanted to live!!!!!!!!!! He fell ill on his way from Morocco and died and was buried in Egypt. Many many times he wanted to make alyah, but the Jews of his city several times begged him to stay with them. So instead of being with a mouth full of poison and hatred towards our great Rabbis learn instead of watching stupid TV.
23. the story in Jewish tradition is different from that of Ynet
observer ,   Egypt   (01.14.12)
A Jewish man from south Morocco was in his way to visit holy places in Palestine, the ship sunk in the sea and a straw carpet (hatzeira) kept him afloat till he reached Syria where he continued his journey to holy places. In his way back to Morocco via Egypt he died and was buried in Dimota, near Alexandria. Why would anyone refute or support the story. Abuhatzeira was one of big Moroccan Jewish family called Baz whose members went to live in Egypt among other Arab countries. Proof of the fact that there was no restriction on the movements of Jews in the Arab states, unlike Arab Palestinians in Israel.
