The US doesn't have the stomach for another conflict in the Middle East and its doubtful Israel has the hardware to do it and there is the issue of geography, things have changed since 1981 As long as Iran plays nice doesn't try to provoke the US ot make threats about closing the Straits of Hormuz and warning the US not to send carrier in there then a mixture of the coming US elections and a lack of will means nobody will attack Iran and it will get nukes. Keep up the provocations though and eventually the US worried about its own presence in the Gulf and oil routes will say time to take action for those reasons anding the nuclear program is a bonus.
