61. Response to#57
John R ,   NYC USA   (01.18.12)
In 2002 the Arab league offered a peace proposal that provided for full diplomatic recognition of Israel in exchange for the 67' borders and recognition of UNSC res 194. They reaffirmed the offer in 2007. The Palestinians have offered better than that. The whole world believes it is Israel not the Palestinians who are not talking peace because Israel wants to reclaim their ancient homeland in violation of international law. Not a single country in the world supports your settlement enterprise. I agree that Right of Return has to be bought from the Palestinians. Everything else is troubles of your own making including the anti-Semitism your settlements have caused for Jews worldwide.
62. Hysteria
Amy Shapiro ,   Missoula, Montana   (01.25.12)
The hysteria over Iran is playing very thin with most Americans, and it is why Obama will skate to victory. Iran is no threat to Israel. It has no nukes whereas Israel may have as many as 500. The mullahs as Ehud Barak himself said are "not meshugganah". They're very cautious men, If Israel wants to calm things down - it should stop building settlements, stop ethnically cleansing the Palestinians, and give them a viable State. It's that simple.
63. Don't kid yourself, Cohen is delivering Obama warning
sifter ,   CHicago   (01.27.12)
Yeah, Mr. Cohen, choose between a good friend, or an enemy who will incinerate you if you let him. Roger is safe in his comfy quarters in NYC, his big problem daily is which sushi bar to go to. I love these people with NO existential angst telling Jews who live 11 minutes flying time away from incineration which way 'to choose'.
