Israel is not a huge place like America where everybody can find a spot they can call home. Israel is also a melting pot for different cultures and because of its small size nobody can hide away like the haredi try to do and so your going to get culture clashes. Jews, Arabs, Saphardi, Ashkenazi, Russian, Ethiopians, French, Anglos, Ethiopians. Druze, Bedouin. They all have their own cultures which often clash with others and the result is discrimination and hatred towards each other. Even the people who like to think of themselves as tolerant if they are honest with themselves will be able to think of somebody they dislike.
