As a combat veteran I must say - if you want club med then pay for the cruise.
2. where is barak and vilnai in all of this
alexi   (01.19.12)
barak should have visited and checked every base across the country. To find a base unfit like this is unacceptable. Barak has a degree in systems engineering which has quality control to it.well check the condition of all the bases-waht are you waiting for. Bibi-get rid of him already. He is a huge drag on Israel. And you are now identified with him like livni with olmert. It was your doing and so you willl reap the rewards. Vilnai should be checking the bases or operative condition and not let them fester.

Noone wants Club Med. Your statement is pathetic. There is no excuse for allowing any base to fall into the state of disrepair that the soldiers foung at this training base. What they found was below any minimal standard. We need our soldiers fit and healthy. Obviously the IDF agreed with the complaints lodges because they fixed it all. All I suggest is that regular inspections are carried our at ALL bases so that this doesn'r happen again.

As a true combat veteran I say you are a dope. One of the first things troops do in enemy territory if they want to set up a temporary base, after barricading it of course, is to set up a cleaning schedule. Soldiers are not as effective if they are sick. The conditions can be rough, but it is part of a combat soldiers professionalism (miktsout) to keep a sanitary environment.
