This is getting to be pathetic. If it wasn't serious it might even be funny.

I am no expert in the field of aeronautics but I am a realist. Before the Wright brothers got it right and before the Russians and Americans got it right there were many failures. The failures lead to successes.

Less advanced drones don't have their wings fall off. You people are kidding yourselves.

14. all technology goes wrong sometimes
zionist forever   (01.30.12)
The Americana Predators have had accidents in the past, this is not the first case of a UAV that crashes. All technology goes wrong at times and the more advanced it is there more there is to go wrong. The important thing in this case is nobody was harmed and the technology didn't fall into enemy hands.
15. The post at No. 6 is not mine

Anyone with half a brain will have figured that out just by reading the subject line.

You never heard of accidents, they do happen sometimes you . Your Predators are also not immune from accidents.. Israeli is the second or third largest UAV exporters in the world so I think if they kept crashing then the buyers would not be buying. You can go back to the stone age and still have technology of their day going wrong. A carefully constructed stone axe breaks, a carefully forged sword A well maintained steam train breaks down, a satellite malfunctions, a UAV crashes. There is always an unknown factor that can turn a success into a failure, sometimes the fault is man made sometimes its just bad luck but that's life.
18. on the plus side IAI will have to pay the bill
zionist forever   (01.30.12)
The UAV was on loan from the IAF to the company who make the things IAI for the purpose of testing systems so looks like IAI are going to have to replace it and any damage that might have been done as a result of the crash.

You've created a digital monster in the YNET lab.
20. This is the cover story
Josh   (01.30.12)
The real story, according to Richard Silverstein's blog, is that the drone was a foreign object launched from Lebanon most probably by Iran and it hit a top-secret missile base.
