I'm an expert on law, but not so good on medicine. Fortunately, my husband is (makes for a nice balance, doesn't it?).
Evidently, if the infant has peticchial hemorhaging in the eyes, that's a symptom of shaken baby syndrome, and it ALWAYS shows up. Also (according to my lovely husband), you need to look for radical fractures of the extremities. That, evidently, is an indicator for child abuse.
Like I said -- my area of expertise is the law. Should these "parents" be found guilty of child abuse, I will be at the head of the line gathering a lynch mob. If they are in fact guilty of this horrible crime, these parents do not deserve to live. What is broken in them cannot be fixed.
